Ooh no. I read that she didn't make it past the 18-mile point (on the Isle of Dogs), but not that she collapsed.
I would feel sorry for her if she'd genuinely tried, but she seemingly hadn't bothered to prepare in the least. It said in the Metro she did four training runs then gave up, because they were "too boring". A typical marathon training schedule involves running 30+ miles a week for months.
She planned to walk around and didn't even manage that. When she was last logged by the magical mats outside Canary Wharf at four-and-a-half hours, my mum (twice her age) was 8 miles ahead on the Embankment.
