I've become convinced that a liking for anise-flavored things such as salmiakki, licorice, ouzo, sambucca, and even black jelly beans is a genetic trait. Everyone I've talked to either loves or hates these things, and no-one is indifferent to them.
I fall into the "Hate 'em" group, so I doubt I'd like salmiakki.
