That's 100% an illusion. Adrenaline can give you the illusion of soberty, but the fact remains that the alcohol severely blurred your senses.

Yeah, well, mistakes are made to learn from I guess. I just have the impression that drinking and driving is still much more socially accepted in America than over here. Maybe because of the larger distances in America and the weird notion that everyone starts driving a car at the age of 16. I think the average age at which people start to drive a car in Belgium is closer to 21.
