Mollies are great. I had half a dozen, and they used to come and suck on my fingers when I put my hand in the tank. They would also zoom around chasing anything brightly coloured moving outside the tank.
I used to have these really annoying fish called Tiger Barbs - stripy little fish which were reasonably well-behaved most of the time, but when they were "in heat" (not sure what the fishy term is!), they would go bright red and chase each other around the tank. Quite normal for their state of mind, you might think, but all they would do is bite each other's fins off... seeing a fish trying to swim without a tail is not fun.
Ever have any baby fish, Tab? I had some for a while. They lurked amongst the plantlife until they got a bit bigger - then they mysteriously disappeared!! I was really disappointed and the fish got disapproving stares for months.
