I don't remember details cause it was a lot of time ago...
The first thing that comes to mind is the fact that the main character walks reaaaalllyyy slow... ok maybe it doesn't sound that terrible but if you put it together with the numerous locations you have to travel and the difficult puzzles it's incredibly annoying.
If i remember correctly it suffers from the same problem as discworld... too many locations and to many objects to use at the same time which inevitably leads to using everything with anything at random until something happens.
