I did actually think about it, but came to the conclusion that it probably wouldn't listen to me, considering it wouldn't move out of the way of a car bearing down on it. And it wasn't as if it didn't know I was there - it stared me down the whole way

Besides, I was about 200kms outside of the city, and there were a couple of kilometres or straight road in front of it. I couldn't imagine a driver not seeing it.
And, truth be known, I was just a teensy bit scared of being shredded into little bloody pieces by its talons
