I worked at NHS Direct on a phone team accepting calls from worried/seething patients who'd received a letter explaining that they needed HIV tests because their doctor/health worker who'd been working with them in an area where they were at risk had Aids. So, y'know, there are WORSE jobs out there than not being able to sell toys to overpriveleged kids.
