Here's my simple rule.

If the game is good, but it. If the game isn't good, don't (unless it's hilariously bad eg. Big Rigs, Gods and Generals).

The publisher's name doesn't matter. Sure, some generally publish better games than others (compare Ubisoft with EA), but it doesn't ultimately affect my purchasing decision.
