I had a beautiful Siamese cat once, whom I christened Moss Temperton when I got him as an 8 week old keeting. He died of liver failure when he was only 5 years old (6 years ago). Hadn't got any pets since. I may not ever get another cat until I'm older, successful as a writer and artist, and living in my lighthouse in New England. I want 2 cats (an Abyssinian and a mutt, perhaps), a bassett hound, and a Land Rover to do errands.
What's an Abyssinian, you ask? They are the cashmere of cats, possibly the most luxurious and elegant of any breed.
