I love both. When I've played one or two first-person games, I long for a good 3rd-person adventure. And vice versa. They have different strengths and weaknesses.

Hm... not necessarily. The Last Express is very much story-driven and first-person. The same goes for the great Tex Murphy games, Black Dahlia, the Legend games that Ninth mentioned and many others.
