Because experience [...] taught me that English/European Cider is usually with alcohol, while american cider is without alcohol. It's a running joke in the "Divine Realms" Inn (actually, it is the "Divine Realms II" - the first one burned down), just after the painting of the three-legged horse, which hangs behind the bar.
Replace the brackets with the things in parenthesis, but leave out the parenthesis, and replace the brackets in the parenthesis with parenthesis.
