The whole point of the movie is to emulate the comic books as closely as possible, bringing the panels of the graphic novels to life on the big screen. As a fan of the comic series, I have to say that the movie was beyond my expectations... it was absolutely amazing. If you pay close attention to the camera angles, the different cuts, you'll notice that they are mimicking the comic book panel by panel. The style presented in the comics just oozes out of the books and translates itself onto the movie screen, truly wonderful.
Anyone that even remotely enjoyed the movie should check out the graphic novels, if they have not already. All I can say is that the movie and the books truly complement each other
