Well, I would have loved that lunch - I adore middle eastern foods. I've never made kibbi, but I make stuffed grape leaves often, and humus bi tahine, baba ganouj, tabouli, are often things I serve with lamb in some form or another. I tried making falafel once, and it tasted good but all fell apart on me. I like Greek foods too - spanakopita - filo filled with spinach and feta, moussaka - creamy, cheesy lasagna, spinach salad.
I'm not fond of Far Eastern foods, though - don't like the seasonings, I guess.
