1. Introduction
===============================================================================
The second game in the first season of episodic Sam and Max adventures from
Telltale sees the duo attempting to discover why TV host Myra Stump is holding
her audience hostage. She refuses to let Sam and Max onto her stage until they
have proven that they are famous enough to be allowed on. Aside from Myra,
Sam and Max also have to contend with a newly disguised Bosco who is charging
one million dollars for a necessary voice modulator, the Skinbody rat thieves
and a difficult singing contest with the Soda Poppers as the judges.

2. Walkthrough
===============================================================================
TOWN
----
The episode starts in the office, where Sam and Max have heard news that famous
talk show host Myra Stump is holding her guests hostage. Exit the office.
Walk east and enter Bosco's Incovenience shop. Say "See ya, Bosco." and then
get the shaving cream on the table. Just as Sam is reaching for it, a rat will
steal it. Exit the shop. Walk west and use the DeSoto. Say "After those rats!".
DRIVING
-------
Use the gun and shoot at the Skinbodies' car to make it move. Hit it on the
left side to make it more right or the right side to make it move left. Wait
until a manhole can be seen in the distance and then shoot the Skinbodies' car
into the manhole. Sam and Max get the shaving cream and return to town.
TOWN
----
Use the DeSoto and say "The TV Studio" to travel there.
TV STUDIO
---------
Talk to the director at the right side of the room and say "What are you doing
here?". She says that she is hiring actors for Midtown Cowboys. Say "We'd like
to audition". She wants Sam to act like he has rabies, so use the shaving cream
on him. She next wants Max to cry, so use the tear gas grenade launcher on him.
The director tells Sam and Max and says that filming starts immediately. Walk
through the blue sitcom door to enter the set for Midtown Cowboys.
After the director explains about the show, say "Let's start taping.". Get the
lampshade and use it on the cow to meet Philo Pennyworth. Say "Our chef.". Get
the plate on the table and use it on the cowpie at the left side of the cow.
Philo will walk to the back of the cow and pull on the tail. When he asks what
the sound the cow made was, say ""Moo Goo Gai Pan," a delicious food." to get
the Midtown Cowboys clip. Open the right door to enter the cooking studio.
Use the pot on the table to start Cooking Without Looking. When Max asks what
they are cooking, say "A cake!". Select one or more of any ingredients and then
select Cook It! to make the cake. Open the sitcom door to exit the cooking
studio and then open the left door to enter the Embarassing Idol studio.
The director allows Max to be one of the judges on the singing show. Walk over
to the right side of the studio and get Peepers' lyrics on the apple crate.
Return to the Midtown Cowboys studio and open the Game Show studio door.
Sam and Max walk over to Hugh Bliss. Say "Show us a magic trick." and he will
tell Sam and Max to pick a colour that he will change into. Say "Green". Say
"Can we get a photo with you?" to get the photo. Say "See ya, Hugh.". Walk west
and use the left podium to start the show. Select any answer to the question to
lose. Get the game show questions from the card slot on the right podium and
then use Peepers' lyrics on the card slot. Use the left podium again and say
"No" to win one million dollars worth of food stamps. Return to the Embarassing
Idol studio and then open the exit door to return to the town.
TOWN
----
Enter Bosco's Inconvenience and use the cake on the condiments near the Not'cho
machine. Give the food stamps to Bosco and say "Give us the voice modulator.".
Exit the shop. Walk left and enter Sybil's shop. Give her the photo with Hugh
Bliss. Exit the shop and walk to the right side of town to get the Alien Love
Triangle Times outside Bosco's shop. Use the DeSoto and say "The TV studio".
TV STUDIO
---------
The votes of the judges has to be unanimous in order for Sam to win. While Max
and Specs will always vote for Sam, Whizzer will always vote for his brother.
Give the cake with ketchup icing to Whizzer and he will leave. Use the voice
modulator on Sam and then use the microphone. Select any song title and then
select any of the lyrics to get the recording contract. Go through the Midtown
Cowboys studio to the game show studio. Use the talk show door to talk to Myra.
Say "Can we come in?". Say "Can we be guests on your show?". Say "We have a
recording contract.". Say "We have a clip of our sitcom.". Say "We're on the
cover of a tabloid.". Sam and Max get invited in. Say "I'd rather relive my
Embarassing Idol glory.". Use the voice modulator on Sam and then use the
banjo. Talk to Myra and say "About that picture in the "Times"...". Say "There
was someone else involved!". Say "Bessy the cow!" to complete the game.

3. Item List

ALIEN LOVE TRIANGLE TIMES
Found outside Bosco's Inconvenience after the photo with the green Hugh Bliss
has been shown to Sybil. It is shown to Myra.
BIG GUN
Available at the start of the game. It is used to shoot the Skinbodies' car
until it falls into the manhole. The Skinbodies drop the shaving cream.
CAKE
Found by cooking a cake on the Cooking Without Looking show. It is used on
the condiments in Bosco's shop to make the cake with ketchup icing.
CAKE WITH KETCHUP ICING
Found by using the cake on the condiments in Bosco's shop. It is given to
Whizzer in the Embarassing Idol studio to make him leave.
CASSEROLE A LA SAM AND MAX
Found by cooking a casserole on the Cooking Without Looking show. Selecting
the goat yogurt option also bakes a casserole. It is not used.
FOOD STAMPS
Found by winning the quiz show after Peeper's lyrics have been used on the
slot on the right podium. They are given to Bosco for the voice modulator.
GAME SHOW QUESTIONS
Found in the right slot on the podium in the quiz show studio after Sam and
Max answer the question incorrectly. They are not used.
LAMPSHADE
Found in the Midtown Cowboys studio. It is used on the cow to meet Philo.
MIDTOWN COWBOYS CLIP
Found by finishing the Midtown Cowboys episode. It is shown to Myra.
PEEPERS' LYRICS
Found on top of the apple crate in the quiz show studio. They are used in the
slot on the right podium after Sam and Max take the game show questions.
PHOTO WITH HUGH BLISS
Found by asking Hugh for a photo. The photo with the green Hugh is given to
Sybil so that Sam and Max are put on the front page of the newspaper.
PLATE
Found on the table in the Midtown Cowboys studio. It is used on the cowpie
after Philo has started talking to the cow about being in Paris.
RECORDING CONTRACT
After Whizzer has been given the cake and Sam has used the voice modulator on
himself, the microphone is used in the Embarrassing Idol studio. Any lyrics
can then be selected to win the recording contract. It is shown to Myra.
SHAVING CREAM
Found by shooting the Skinbodies' car into the manhole in the middle of the
road after they steal the shaving cream from Bosco's shop. It is used on Sam
at the TV studio when the director wants him to act like he has rabies.
TEAR GAS GRENADE LAUNCHER
Available at the start of the game. It is used on Max at the TV studio when
the director wants him to act like he is crying.
VOICE MODULATOR
Found by giving the food stamps to Bosco. After Whizzer has been given the
cake with ketchup icing, It is used on Sam so that he can win the singing
contest. It is also used on Sam before playing the banjo on Myra's stage.
