1. Introduction

===============================================================================

After creating two successful adventure game adaptations of the Bone comic book
series, Telltale Games has now switched its efforts to creating episodic games
for the crime-fighting dog and rabbit duo, Sam and Max. In this first game in
the season, Sam and Max have noticed that a crime wave caused by a group of
former child stars known as the Soda Poppers has started. It soon becomes clear
that the Soda Poppers have all been hypnotised, and it's up to Sam and Max to
find out by who and why. Featuring a similar style of humour as the original,
this is a very promising start to a season of six episodic games.

2. Walkthrough

===============================================================================

OFFICE
------

Get the boxing glove from the window sill and the bowling ball near the mouse
hole. Open the closet door and use the big gun on the pile o' cheese. Use the
pile o' cheese to get the swiss cheese. Use the swiss cheese on the rat hole to
talk to the rat. Select any speech option as Max. Select Sam and say "Got a
headache, eh?" to discover that the rat is scared of heights. Select Max and
say "I'll hang you out to dry!" to get the phone. Use the office door.

TOWN
----

Walk west and use the Desoto. Say "Let's go pull over random motorists".

DRIVING
-------

Drive into the back of another car to slow down. Select the gun and shoot the
taillight on the back of the car. Select the megaphone and say "Pull over!".
Say "Hideously broken taillight" as the reason for stopping him. Select the
office icon at the bottom-right corner of the screen to return to the town.

TOWN
----

Walk east and enter Bosco's Inconvenience shop. Talk to Bosco to find out that
a former movie star is distributing videos in his shop. Get the slice o' cheese
on the tray. Walk west and use the bathroom door to see Whizzer run into the
bathroom. Use the cheddar cheese on Whizzer's crate and Whizzer will be knocked
out by the glove at the entrance. Give the $10000 to Bosco and say "What've you
got?". Say "Okay, what's behind the counter?". Say "Give us the tear gas" to
pay Bosco for the tear gas grenade launcher. Exit the shop.

Walk west to the other side of town and enter Sybil's office. Say "See you
later" to end the conversation. Use the tear gas grenade launcher on Peepers
and then use the boxing glove on him. Open the closet door to meet Sybil. She
tells Sam how to stop the hypnosis. Exit the office. Walk up the road behind
the Desoto and get the spray paint. Use the spray paint on the graffiti outside
Sam and Max's apartment to meet Specs. Enter the apartment. Use the bowling
ball on the open window. Drop it on Specs. Exit the apartment and talk to Specs
to wake him up. Return to Bosco's Inconvenience shop. Talk to Whizzer to wake
him up. Whizzer will escape in his van and a chase will start.

DRIVING
-------

Avoid the boxes to get close to the van. Select the gun and shoot the tyres of
the van to make it stop. Specs will tell Sam and Max about the home.

BRADY CULTURE'S HOME
--------------------

Get an admission form. Use the Desoto and return to the office.

TOWN
----

Enter Sybil's office. Give the symptoms form to Sybil and remember the three
symptoms she mentions. Say "Let's try inkblots". If the first symptom on the
symptoms form was fame, select options 3, 2, 4, 2 and 1. If the symptom was
money, select options 1, 3, 2, 1 and 4 to pass the first test.

Say "Let's try free association" to start the second test. The aim here is to
react violently by using the gun on Sybil if she mentions a word that has
something to do with the second symptom. If the symptom was hairdressing for
example, use the gun on Sybil if she mentions a word like comb. If the word
has nothing to do with the symptom, just look at an object in the room.

Say "Let's try dream analysis" to start the third test. If the third symptom
was to know a peer's age, select the donut box and say "A birthday cake", then
select the person and say "Max". If the third symptom was to marry your mom,
select the donut box and say "A wedding cake", then select the person and say
"You" to get the signed symptoms form. Exit the office. Use the Desoto and
say "Brady Culture's "home" for former child stars" to return to the home.

BRADY CULTURE'S HOME
--------------------

Use the symptoms form on the form reader below the monkey. Use the gate and
then wait for the cutscene to finish to return to the town.

TOWN
----

Sam has been hypnotised and will walk back and forth through the shop. As he
approaches the door, get the slice o' cheese from the dish on the table.

DREAM
-----

Sam has to get rid of all of the intruders in his dream to wake up. Use the
coat hanger on the TV. Open the closet door and use the bicycle pump. Use
the light switch near the left door. Use the big gun on the one-way sign to get
Max's head. Use Max on Brady Culture to wake up.

TOWN
----

Say "Bye, Bosco." to end the conversation. Exit the shop. Enter Sam and Max's
apartment and get the coat hanger. Exit the apartment and return to Sybil's
office. Talk to Sybil and say "Can you help me?" to get the helmet diagram.
Exit the office and return to Bosco's shop. Give the helmet diagram and the
coat hanger to Bosco to get the anti-hypnosis helmet. Exit the shop. Walk to
the west side of town and use the Desoto to return to the home.

BRADY CULTURE'S HOME
--------------------

Use the gate to enter Brady Culture's home. Talk to the soda poppers and say
"Become..." and "Become... Brady Culture!". Talk to the soda poppers and say
"Worship..." and "Worship... me!". Talk to the soda poppers and Say "Attack..."
and "Attack... me!" to defeat Brady Culture and complete the game.
