TRIAL

You’re back at your trial, and Ash is testifying against you!  She tells the court how you called her over to the tree house.  She was really upset over Larry’s death. 

It’s your turn to take the stand again.  You describe how Todd came to be at the tree house.

ADDISON APARTMENT BUILDING

TREE HOUSE

Todd wants to communicate with Larry in the Afterlife.  Press ‘G’ to turn your guitar on, then use the Arrow Keys to navigate through each group of notes, and press ‘J’, ‘K’, ‘L’ in each group of notes.  After you’ve played all 12 notes, the ghost of Mrs Rosenberg will appear.  She encourages you to put an end to the Cult that’s been haunting Addison Apartments for decades.  Then she leaves. 

 

ROOF

Larry appears, and tells you that you only have a few hours to stop the Cult.  Then you’re on your own again. 

Walk right to the pillar, and look at the pillar.  This can’t be good!  Open your Inventory and read LARRY’S NOTE.  Now from your Inventory, use SWITCH TO LARRY. 

You’re playing as Larry now.  Walk left a few steps and pick up the DEADSTONE RELIC.  Walk right to the pillar, and notice the ring on the pillar.  Press ‘R’ to activate the Deadstone, and the ring disappears.  Now open your Inventory, and SWITCH TO SAL. 

You’re playing as Sal again.  Press ‘G’ to play your guitar.  Now if you remember what Todd told you in the tree house, you have to play certain notes to correspond with certain symbols displaying in the circle.  So perform the following actions. 

 

         After press ‘G’ to activate your guitar…

         Press ‘K’

         Press Right Arrow

         Press ‘L’

         Press Left Arrow

         Press ‘K’

 

The pillar crumbles to dust.  Drop down into the apartment building. 

 

5TH FLOOR HALLWAY

Try to enter any of the apartments, but they’re all locked.  Open your Inventory and SWITCH TO LARRY. 

 

ROOF

You’re playing as Larry.  Drop down into the apartment building. 

 

5TH FLOOR HALLWAY

As Larry, walk left to Apartment 501, and notice that it’s covered in cobwebs.  Activate DEADSTONE RELIC (Press ‘R‘), then enter Apartment 501. 

 

APARTMENT 501

Walk left a few steps, and talk to the Homeless Man.  Activate DEADSTONE RELIC (Press ‘R‘), and he’ll become an outline on the wall.  Leave the apartment.  Open your Inventory, and SWITCH TO SAL. 

 

5TH FLOOR HALLWAY

You’re playing as Sal again.  Enter Apartment 501. 

 

APARTMENT 501

Walk left to the pile of newspapers, and pick up 504 KEY from the pile of newspapers.  Leave the apartment. 

 

5TH FLOOR HALLWAY

Enter Apartment 504.  Now you have the key for it, you can easily enter. 

 

APARTMENT 504

Walk right a few steps, and enter the bedroom. 

In the bedroom, walk left a few steps, and climb through the hole in the wall.  Open your Inventory, and SWITCH TO LARRY. 

 

5TH FLOOR HALLWAY

As Larry, enter Apartment 504. 

 

APARTMENT 504

Walk right a few steps, and enter the bedroom. 

In the bedroom, walk left a few steps, and climb through the hole in the wall.  Walk left a few steps, and see the unmarked item on the floor.  Activate DEADSTONE RELIC (Press ‘R‘) - it turns into just an outline on the floor.  Open your Inventory and SWITCH TO SAL. 

You’re playing as Sal now.  Pick up the (unmarked) video tape that’s appeared on the floor. 

 

ROOM 6

Watch through the Skin video clip.  When you’ve finished watching, Exit the TV &VCR room. 

 

APARTMENT 504

As Sal, crawl back through the hole, leave the apartment, and make your way back to the 5th Floor Hallway. 

 

5TH FLOOR HALLWAY

Walk left a few steps, and drop down to the 4th Floor Hallway. 

 

4TH FLOOR HALLWAY

There’s a huge pillar in the middle of the hallway!  That can’t be good!  Enter Apartment 402, Henry & Lisa’s apartment. 

 

APARTMENT 402 - HENRY & LISA’S APARTMENT

Hmm, the TV is just playing static.  Chat to Todd & Lisa, who are sitting on the settee - they don’t seem to realise it’s only static on the TV.  In fact, they seem kinda out of it.  How odd.  Make sure the TV is left on, then leave the apartment. 

 

4TH FLOOR HALLWAY

Enter Apartment 401, Robert’s apartment. 

 

APARTMENT 401 - ROBERT’S APARTMENT

Robert is playing some seriously strange music!  Chat to him if you like, but just like Henry & Lisa, he seems kinda out of it.  Make sure the stereo is left on, then leave the apartment. 

 

4TH FLOOR HALLWAY

Open your Inventory, and SWITCH TO LARRY. 

 

APARTMENT 504

As Larry, make your way back to the 5th Floor Hallway. 

 

5TH FLOOR HALLWAY

Still as Larry, drop down to the 4th Floor Hallway. 

 

4TH FLOOR HALLWAY

Look at the huge pillar in the hallway.  Now enter Apartment 402, Henry & Lisa’s apartment. 

 

APARTMENT 402 - HENRY & LISA’S APARTMENT

Walk left a few steps, and see Henry & Lisa as demons sitting on the settee.  Notice the white static sparks coming from the TV.  Stand in front of the TV, and activate DEADSTONE RELIC (Press ‘R‘).  The static sparks disappear.  Leave the apartment. 

 

4TH FLOOR HALLWAY

Still as Larry, enter Apartment 401, Robert’s apartment. 

 

APARTMENT 401 - ROBERT’S APARTMENT

Notice the white static sparks coming from the stereo.  Stand in front of the stereo, and activate DEADSTONE RELIC (Press ‘R‘).  The static sparks disappear.  You hear something in the hallway, so leave the apartment. 

 

4TH FLOOR HALLWAY

Walk right to the huge pillar, then activate DEADSTONE RELIC (Press ‘R‘).  Now open your Inventory, and SWITCH TO SAL. 

You’re playing as Sal now.  Time to use your trusty guitar again.  Press ‘G’ to play your guitar, then perform the following actions. 

         After press ‘G’ to activate your guitar…

         Press ‘J’

         Press Right Arrow

         Press ‘K’

         Press Down Arrow

         Press ‘K’

         Press ‘L’

 

The pillar crumbles to dust.  Enter Apartment 403, Mrs Sanderson’s apartment. 

 

APARTMENT 403 - MRS SANDERSON’S APARTMENT

Mrs Sanderson was murdered here.  Her husband came to say a final ‘Goodbye’ to her, before he left town.  But as you enter the apartment, you are greeted by a tragic site.  Mr Sanderson has taken his own life.  Poor Mr Sanderson.  There’s nothing else you can do here, so leave the apartment. 

 

4TH FLOOR HALLWAY

Enter Apartment 404. 

 

APARTMENT 404

Walk right a few steps, and notice the broken equipment on the floor.  Open your Inventory and SWITCH TO LARRY. 

 

4TH FLOOR HALLWAY

As Larry, enter Apartment 403, Mrs Sanderson’s apartment. 

 

APARTMENT 403 - MRS SANDERSON’S APARTMENT

Talk to the ghost of Herman Sanderson.  Talk to him again.  When conversation is over, leave the apartment. 

 

4TH FLOOR HALLWAY

Still as Larry, enter Apartment 404. 

 

APARTMENT 404

It’s dark in here.  Walk right a few steps, to the broken equipment.  Activate DEADSTONE RELIC (Press ‘R‘).  Walk right a few more steps, so you see something else on the floor.  Again, activate DEADSTONE RELIC (Press ‘R‘).  Now open your Inventory, and SWITCH TO SAL. 

As Sal, pick up the video tape on the floor. 

 

ROOM 6

Watch through the Evolve video clip.  When you’ve finished watching, Exit the TV &VCR room. 

 

APARTMENT 404

There’s nothing else you can do here, so leave the apartment. 

 

4TH FLOOR HALLWAY

Still as Sal, drop down to the 3rd Floor Hallway. 

 

3RD FLOOR HALLWAY

There’s another huge pillar here.  Walk left, and enter Apartment 301, CJ’s apartment. 

 

APARTMENT 301 - CJ’S APARTMENT

Walk left a few steps, and talk to CJ, Sierra, and Azaria.  They’re also acting strange!  Look at the stereo, and change the station to 93.7 - static!  Now leave the apartment. 

 

3RD FLOOR HALLWAY

Enter Apartment 302, David’s apartment. 

 

APARTMENT 302 - DAVID’S APARTMENT

Talk to David.  You can’t do anything here, so just leave the apartment. 

 

3RD FLOOR HALLWAY

Open your Inventory, and SWITCH TO LARRY. 

 

APARTMENT 404

Leave the apartment, and make your way back to the hallway. 

 

4TH FLOOR HALLWAY

As Larry, drop down the hole, into the 3rd Floor Hallway. 

 

3RD FLOOR HALLWAY

As Larry, enter Apartment 301, CJ’s apartment. 

 

APARTMENT 301 - CJ’S APARTMENT

Walk left a few steps, and see CJ, Azaria, and Sierra as demons.  Look at the stereo, and change the station to 93.7 - static.  Now activate DEADSTONE RELIC (Press ‘R‘).  Leave the apartment. 

 

3RD FLOOR HALLWAY

Enter Apartment 302, David’s apartment. 

 

APARTMENT 302 - DAVID’S APARTMENT

See Sara (the mannequin) and David as demons.  You can’t do anything though, so just leave the apartment. 

 

3RD FLOOR HALLWAY

As Larry, walk right to the pillar, and activate DEADSTONE RELIC (Press ‘R‘).  Now open your Inventory, and SWITCH TO SALLY. 

As Sal, walk right to the pillar.  Are you ready for some more guitar playing?  Press ‘G’ to play your guitar, then perform the following actions. 

 

         After press ‘G’ to activate your guitar…

         Press ‘L’

         Press Down Arrow

         Press ‘J’

         Press Up Arrow

         Press ‘J’

The pillar crumbles to dust.  Enter Apartment 303, Chug’s apartment. 

 

APARTMENT 303 - CHUG’S APARTMENT

Talk to Chug - he’s acting… weird.  Leave the apartment. 

 

3RD FLOOR HALLWAY

Try to enter Apartment 304, but it‘s.  Open your Inventory, and SWITCH TO LARRY. 

As Larry, enter Apartment 303, Chug’s Apartment. 

 

APARTMENT 303 - CHUG’S APARTMENT

You can faintly see the image of Chug and Soda (his daughter) on the settee.  Walk right a few steps, and pick up the (unmarked) DARK PONY TOY that’s lying on the floor in front of the toy chest.  Leave the apartment. 

 

3RD FLOOR HALLWAY

Open your Inventory, and SWITCH TO SAL. 

As Sal, drop down to the 2nd Floor Hallway. 

 

2ND FLOOR HALLWAY

Try to enter Apartment 201, but it’s locked.  Enter Apartment 202, Todd’s Parents apartment. 

 

APARTMENT 202 - TODD’S PARENTS APARTMENT

Talk to Todd’s mum on the settee.  You guessed it!  She’s acting weird.  Open your Inventory, and SWITCH TO LARRY. 

 

3RD FLOOR HALLWAY

Drop down into the 2nd Floor Hallway. 

 

2ND FLOOR HALLWAY

Try to enter Apartment 201, but it’s got a weird goo lock on it.  Enter Apartment 202, Todd’s Parents apartment. 

 

APARTMENT 202 - TODD’S PARENTS APARTMENT

Walk left a few steps and see Todd’s parents as demons on the settee.  Walk left a few more steps, and see the bathroom door blocked with webs.  Stand in front of the bathroom door and activate DEADSTONE RELIC (Press ‘R‘).  Now enter the bathroom. 

In the bathroom, open your Inventory, and SWITCH TO SAL. 

As Sal, enter Todd’s parents bathroom. 

Flush the toilet.  Now open your Inventory and SWITCH TO LARRY. 

As Larry, search the toilet to find 201 KEY.  Now leave the bathroom, and leave the apartment, so you’re out in the hallway. 

 

2ND FLOOR HALLWAY

As Larry, enter Apartment 201, Mrs Packerton’s old apartment. 

 

APARTMENT 201 - MRS PACKERTON’S OLD APARTMENT

Open your Inventory, and SWITCH TO SAL. 

 

APARTMENT 202 - TODD’S PARENTS APARTMENT

As Sal, leave the apartment, and return to the hallway. 

 

2ND FLOOR HALLWAY

Enter Apartment 201, Mrs Packerton’s old apartment. 

 

APARTMENT 201 - MRS PACKERTON’S OLD APARTMENT

As Sal, enter Bedroom 1. 

In Bedroom 1, walk left a few steps, and notice the life support equipment.  Open your Inventory and SWITCH TO LARRY.  

As Larry, walk right a few steps, and enter Bedroom 1 (it won‘t appear until Sal has entered Bedroom 1). 

In Bedroom 1, walk left a few steps, and notice the sparks coming from the life support equipment.  Stand in front of the equipment and activate DEADSTONE RELIC (Press ‘R‘).  The sparks disappear.  Now leave the bedroom and leave the apartment. 

 

2ND FLOOR HALLWAY

Walk right to the huge pillar.  Activate DEADSTONE RELIC (Press ‘R‘).  Now open your Inventory, and SWITCH TO SAL. 

 

APARTMENT 202 - TODD’S PARENTS APARTMENT

As Sal, leave the bathroom, and leave the apartment. 

 

2ND FLOOR HALLWAY

Walk right to the huge pillar.  Time for some more guitar playing.  These music puzzles are getting really tough, because you don’t have much time to complete them.  Anyway, press ‘G’ to play your guitar, then perform the following actions.

Notice the pentagram on the floor.  Stand inside the pentagram, and place your DARK PONY TOY in the pentagram.  Now open your Inventory and SWITCH TO SAL. 

As Sal, pick up the video tape that’s appeared on the floor.

Watch through the Rage video clip.  When you’ve finished watching, Exit the TV &VCR room. 

 

APARTMENT 204 - CHARLEY’S OLD APARTMENT

As Sal, leave the apartment. 

 

2ND FLOOR HALLWAY

Drop down the hole into the Ground Floor Hallway. 

 

GROUND FLOOR HALLWAY

Try to enter Apartment 102, but it’s locked.  Try to enter Apartment 101, but it’s chained from the inside, and there‘s a strange smell coming from inside.  Open your Inventory and SWITCH TO LARRY. 

 

APARTMENT 204 - CHARLEY’S OLD APARTMENT

As Larry, leave the apartment, so you’re out in the hallway. 

 

2ND FLOOR HALLWAY

Drop down the hole into the Ground Floor Hallway.

As Larry, there’s not much you can do here.  Walk right to the huge pillar, and activate DEADSTONE RELIC (Press ‘R‘).  Now open your Inventory, and SWITCH TO SAL.

The pillar crumbles to dust.  Knock on Apartment 103, Mr Addison’s apartment.  He let’s you in. 

 

APARTMENT 103 - MR ADDISON’S APARTMENT

Well, you’ve never been in Mr Addison’s apartment before, but you never expected… this!  Have a quick chat with Mr Addison, then when you’re able, head right. 

EEK!  He’s some kind of… demon!  After chatting with him, he devours you whole! 

Now you must destroy him from his insides, by defeating each of his eyes.  If you make a mistake at one eye, or you run out of time, you drop down to the eye below, and have to work your way up again.  This part is MEGA hard, and you barely have time to think!  Try to take one eye at a time, using your guitar‘s abilities.  Let’s work through this methodically.  If we count the eyes, with the bottom eye being Eye 1, and the top eye being Eye 6, work through it like this.

Phew!  That was tough!  But at least Terrence Addison is no longer a demon.  Chat with him.  He tells you that you have one more task you complete - you must kill all those who have been tainted by the Dark.  That means… everyone in the building!  Your friends… your family.  Everyone you love!   *gulp*   But if you don’t do this, then the Shadows will conquer many more lives.  So… no pressure then?  Then Terrence vanishes, leaving you with this unbearable burden.  Pick up the KNIFE that he left behind. 

 

GROUND FLOOR HALLWAY

You’re teleported back to the hallway.  Mrs Gibson is lying on the floor outside her apartment.  Talk to her… and murder her. 

 

APARTMENT 202 - TODD’S PARENTS APARTMENT

You jump to Todd’s parents apartment.  Talk to them, and then murder them.  Leave the apartment. 

 

APARTMENT 301 - CJ’S APARTMENT

This is the apartment with the college students.  Talk to them, and murder them.  Leave the apartment. 

 

APARTMENT 302 - DAVID’S APARTMENT

David is here.  Poor, innocent David.  Talk to him and murder him.  Leave the apartment. 

 

APARTMENT 303 - CHUG’S APARTMENT

Chug and his daughter Soda are here.  Talk to them.  Little Soda asks if she can ride on your shoulders.   *sniff*   Murder them.  Leave the apartment. 

 

APARTMENT 401 - ROBERT’S APARTMENT

This is Robert’s apartment.  Talk to him, and murder him.  Leave the apartment. 

 

APARTMENT 402 - HENRY & LISA’S APARTMENT

Oh no!  This apartment belongs to your dad & Larry’s mum!  But you have no choice… they’ve been tainted by the Dark.  Talk to them.  Your dad tells you how proud he is off you.  Almost as if he knows what you are about to do, but he forgives you anyway.   *sniff sniff*   Murder them.  Leave the apartment. 

 

GROUND FLOOR HALLWAY

You’re back in the hallway on the Ground Floor.  Walk right a few steps, and talk to Todd.  His eyes are bright red!  Has he been possessed by the demon?  This is when the police show up to arrest you.

COURT ROOM

TRIAL

Ashley is in the Witness Box again.  She tells the courtroom how she called the police, then went over to Addison Apartments.  She tried to talk to you, Sal, but you were unresponsive. 

Next to testify is Dr Enon.  Wait… WHAT?  Dr Enon?  But… he died a while ago.  He fell out of the tree house, while he was investigating your story, Sal.  So just who exactly is in the Witness Box?  Whoever he is, he claims that you are lucid, which means that you were aware of everything you did in the apartment building.  He also claims that you are a danger to public society. 

Thanks to ‘Dr Enon’s’ damning testimony, you are found guilty of mass murder, and sentenced to execution.  Ashley is devastated.

3 YEARS LATER

You’re playing as Ashley now.  It is the day of Sal’s execution.  You have done everything you can to prevent Sal’s execution… but you have failed.  Now, you have one final, desperate, crazy idea.  But you need to act fast if you want to pull it off. 

 

TREE HOUSE

You visit the old tree house, to try and communicate with Larry.  Larry’s ghost appears… any doubts you had about your dear friend’s story are laid to rest.  Sal were telling the truth all along!  You take a photo of Larry’s ghost. 

 

ROAD

Ride your motorbike, as fast as you can, to the Court House. 

 

COURT HOUSE

Oh no!  You’re too late!  They’re strapping Sal into the electric chair as we speak!  You bang on the door to try and stop them… but it’s no use.  Sal is executed right in front of your eyes!  All your efforts have been in vain.
