1.                                Introduction

===============================================================================


This is the second in a series of eight planned adventures in the Ben Jordan:
Paranormal Investigator series. The games can be downloaded for free from the
developer's home page (http://www.grundislavgames.com/benjordan). In this game,
Ben is called to the town of Dunesberg in California by Annie, whose husband
has gone missing after he went to search the galleon. The aim is to find a way
of diving down to the galleon to save George. This is a longer, more difficult
game than the original, with some inventive puzzles that are fun to solve.

The deluxe version of the game (released in 2010) follows the same storyline as
the original but features new items, locations and puzzles. The graphics have
been improved, there is new music and also voice acting as well. Although it is
a remake of the original game, it is still well worth playing as all of the new
additions make it very worthwhile. This walkthrough covers both game versions.

DUNESBERG
---------

The game starts in Annie's house. Talk to Annie about her husband: She says he
went into the desert to look for the lost galleon. Ask about the lost galleon:
According to the legend, it is a Spanish galleon buried under the Salton Sea.
She says that only the old prospector in the bar and her husband George believe
in the legend. Exit the conversation. Get the bowl on the table. Use the door
to exit the house. Walk west behind the house to the outskirts of Dunesberg.
Use the old crate to get a stick of dynamite. Walk east to return to the town.

Enter the medicine man's shop. Talk to the medicine man and ask about items for
sale: He will order special items if required. Get the mortar and pestle on the
bottom shelf at the right side of the shop. Exit the shop. Walk right and enter
the grocery store. Get an ear of corn. Exit the store. Walk right and enter the
Drunken Scorpion bar. Get the box of matches at the left side of the bar. Talk
to the barman about the lost galleon: He doesn't believe in the legend. Ask
about George: He hasn't seen him in two weeks. Order a beer: The barman gives
Ben a bottle of beer. Talk to the Jebediah, the old prospector, about the lost
galleon: He wants moonshine. Ask about moonshine: He says that there is a
recipe for moonshine in town, and gives Ben his dowsing stick. Exit the bar.

Enter the coffeehouse. Talk to the employee and order a coffee. Get a packet of
sugar from the tray and then exit the coffeehouse. Enter the big house at the
left side of the town. Use the dowsing stick on the wood receptacle, then use
the matches on the wood receptacle. Use the beer on the liquid receptacle to
get a glob of malt. Use the stick of dynamite on the safe, then use the matches
on the dynamite to explode the safe. Use the safe to get a recipe for moonshine
and a packet of yeast. Look at the recipe in the inventory. Combine the ear of
corn with the mortar and pestle to make the cornmeal. Combine the cornmeal,
packet of sugar, glob of malt and packet of yeast with the bowl. Use the bowl
on the liquid receptacle to get the home-brewed moonshine. Exit the house.

Return to the bar to see that the Jebediah has left: The barman says that he
has gone to Annie's house. Exit the bar and return to Annie's house. Jebediah
tells Ben about the lost galleon, and says that he will need items from the
medicine man before making his journey to the Salton Sea. Enter the medicine
man's shop. Talk to the medicine man about the Salton Sea: He tells Ben that he
needs cactus extract. Exit the shop. Enter the coffeehouse and talk to the
employee about the banner: It advertises a coffee called Jitter Juice. Order
Jitter Juice and Ben will drink it. Exit the coffeehouse.

Enter the bar and talk to the man near the dartboard about the knife: He says
he is training for the Dunesberg knife-throwing contest. Challenge him: He will
let Ben have his knife if he can hit a bullseye. After Ben throws the knife and
hits the bullseye because of the Jitter Juice he drank earlier, the man lets
him keep the knife. Exit the bar. Walk west behind Annie's house to return to
the outskirts of Dunesberg. Use the knife on the cactus to get a chunk from it.

Return to the town and enter the big house. Use the chunk of cactus on the
liquid receptacle to get the cactus extract. Exit the big house. Enter the
medicine man's shop. Give the cactus extract to the medicine man to get an
anti-venom kit and a roll of medical tape. Exit the shop. Return to Annie's
house. The old prospector lets Ben borrow his car to travel to the Salton Sea.


SALTON SEA
----------

Get the flower. Walk west to the next area and talk to the man about the lost
galleon: Ben mentions that map on the table. Ask about the map: He says he has
found the exact location of the lost galleon. Ask about the desert: He is
allergic to the flowers that grow around the area. Use the metal box in front
of the boat to find a damaged wetsuit. Walk west to the area with the balloon
and talk to the woman about the lost galleon: She doesn't know the exact
location. Ask about the balloon: The gas knob has broken. Ask about the oxygen
tank: She will let Ben have the tank if Ben can find a way of inflating the
balloon. Walk west to the road. Enter the souvenir shop.

Get the large snowglobe on the shelf. As Ben pays for it, the clerk gives him
a free souvenir pen as well. Talk to the clerk about the shop: He built the
shop himself. Ask about souvenirs: He mentions the free pen with any purchase.
Exit the shop and walk south to return to the balloon area. Use the knife on
the snowglobe to pry the valve off: Ben is left with the makeshift helmet and
the rusty valve. Give the valve to the woman to get the oxygen tank.

Walk east to the next area. Combine the pen with the moonshine recipe to make
the fake map. Use the flower on the man: As he sneezes, Ben will switch the
fake map with the map on the table. Walk east behind the rock to the next area.
Combine the medical tape, makeshift helmet and oxygen tank with the wetsuit to
make the home-made diving suit. Look at the map to see the exact location of
the lost galleon. Use the diving suit on the sea to dive to the lost galleon.


LOST GALLEON
------------

Ben wakes up in a cell on the lost galleon, where he meets George, who is ill
after being on the ship for a week. Give the anti-venom kit to George and he
will recover. Ask George about the galleon: He was exploring the ship when he
blacked out and woke up in the cell. Use the bottle of moonshine on the cell
door, then use the matches on the moonshine to escape the cell. Go through the
right door in the hall to enter the wine cellar. Get a bottle of wine. Return
to the hall and go through the door on the left to enter the treasure room.

Try to get a black pearl from the pile and the ghost will appear. Talk to
George about the ghost: He mentions a spirit box. Ask about the spirit box: A
ghost can be lured into a container by something it loved in life. Ask about
the distraction: George calls the ghost over to him. While the ghost is
distracted, get a black pearl. Combine the black pearl with the mortar and
pestle, then combine the black pearl pieces with the bottle of wine to make
the spirit box. The ghost will disappear. Try to get another black pearl and
the ghost will reappear. Use the spirit box on the ghost to complete the game.

ANNIE'S HOUSE
-------------

The game starts in Annie's house. Ask Annie about her husband: He went into the
desert to look for the lost galleon. She filed a missing persons report and
gives Ben a copy of it. Ask about the lost galleon: She tells Ben to ask the
old prospector in the bar. Exit the conversation. Examine the police report in
the inventory. Get the bowl on the table. Use the door to exit the house.


DOWNTOWN DUNESBERG
------------------

Use the statue to take a coil of glass tube. Enter the medicine man's shop to
meet Alan: He says that Ben helped his brother Ernie. Get the stethoscope from
the skeleton and the mortar and pestle on the shelf. Ask about the Medicine
Man: He heals the sick using natural remedies and spirituality. Ask about
spirituality: He gives Ben a book. Exit the conversation and exit the shop.

Enter the supermarket and ask the young man about himself: He is visiting from
the UK. Ask about British food: He gives Ben a jar of marmite. Exit the
conversation. Get a box of malted milk balls from the shelf and an ear of corn
from the produce basket. Give the malted milk balls to the cashier to pay for
both the box of malted milk balls and the ear of corn. Exit the shop.

Enter the Drunken Scorpion bar and get the box of matches on the bar. Ask the
bartender about the lost galleon: The only person that mentioned the galleon
recently was George Roberts. Ask about George Roberts: He went to look for the
galleon about two weeks ago. Order a drink to buy a beer: Ben keeps the empty
bottle. Exit the conversation. Ask the old prospector about George Roberts: He
has a drink with him occasionally. Ask about the lost galleon: He wants Ben to
get him moonshine. Ask about moonshine to learn that the Radley family used to
make it. He also gives Ben a dowsing stick. Exit the conversation and exit the
bar. Walk right outside the bar to return to the map.


RADLEY HOUSE
------------

Open the inventory and use the red book to find a laminated bookmark. Use the
bookmark on the door to unlock it. Open the door to enter the house. Use the
stethoscope on the safe to open it: Ben finds an old scrap of paper and a
crowbar. Exit the house and walk through the gate to exit the area.


ABANDONED MINE
--------------

Use the crowbar on the mine entrance to pry off the boards. Enter the mine and
get the signal scrambler on the table. Exit the mine and exit the area.


DOWNTOWN DUNESBERG
------------------

Enter the coffee shop at the right side of town. Use the signal scrambler in
the inventory and the woman will leave the shop. Talk to the remaining customer
about his order and select all options until the no coffee topic appears. Talk
about having no coffee and the man will leave the shop. Talk to the barista
about sugar: Ben needs to order coffee first. Order the coffee to receive a
coffee cup and a packet of sugar. Exit the shop and exit the town.


ABANDONED MINE
--------------

Examine the old paper in the inventory to see the recipe for moonshine. Open
the inventory. Combine the marmite with the bowl. Combine the malted milk balls
with the mortar and pestle and then use the mortal and pestle to make malt.
Combine the malt with the bowl. Combine the corn with the mortar and pestle and
then use the mortar and pestle to make cornmeal. Combine the cornmeal with the
bowl. Combine the sugar with the bowl. Exit the inventory. Use the glass tube,
the dowsing stick and the bowl on the old bathtub. Use the matches on the
firewood to make moonshine. Open the inventory and combine the bowl with the
beer bottle to pour moonshine into the bottle. Exit the area.


ANNIE'S HOUSE
-------------

Give the bowl to Annie. Open the door to exit the house.


DOWNTOWN DUNESBERG
------------------

Enter the Drunken Scorpion bar and give the beer bottle to the old prospector
to learn about the legend of the galleon. Ben then travels to Bombay Beach.


BOMBAY BEACH
------------

Use the crowbar on the trunk of the abandoned car to take George's journal.
Use George's journal in the inventory to see a poem. Walk west and then walk to
the motel. Enter the motel. Open the cabinet drawer to find some silverware.
Get the plastic flowers in the vase on the table. Exit the motel and walk west
to the main area. Walk to the distant trailer and ask the man about himself:
He is a famous country and western singer. Ask about his hit song: It got him a
platinum record. Ask about the platinum record: He is trying to write a new
song but has writer's block. Ask to help with song: He gives Ben a piece of
paper and says that he needs help writing the chorus. Exit the conversation.

The aim in this section of the game is to examine objects in order to create
ideas for the song. Walk away from the trailer and then walk to the motel.
Enter the motel and examine the painting on the wall. Exit the motel and walk
west to the main area. Walk east to the car area. Examine the debris at the
left side of the area and examine the desert road. Walk west to the main area
and then walk to the trailer at the left side of the area.

Talk to the obese woman about Aqua Lad: Ben pays five dollars. Enter the
trailer and ask Aqua Lad about himself: He has been performing as Aqua Lad his
entire life. Ask about escape: He has no way of getting anywhere and his mother
wouldn't like him leaving. Ask about his mother: She has been lonely. Exit the
trailer and walk to the bottom-right corner of the screen to return to the main
area. Walk west to the beach. Examine the Salton Sea. Ask the man why he is
upset: He hasn't got the nerve to ask a woman out on a date. Ask about the
date: He doesn't have any gifts for her. Exit the conversation. Give the malted
milk balls and the plastic flowers to the man. Walk east to the main area.

Walk to the trailer at the left side of the main area to see Mama leave with
Harold. Enter the trailer and give the car key to Aqua Lad. After he leaves,
get the gold trophy on the shelf. Exit the trailer and return to the main area.
Walk to the distant trailer. Examine the song in the inventory. By now you
should have the following icons below the paper: Explosion (painting in the
motel), debris (debris in the car area), road (desert road in the car area) and
the Salton Sea. Put the explosion icon on the first line, the debris icon on
the second line, the road icon on the third line and the Salton Sea icon on the
fourth line. Give the completed song to Edgar to receive the platinum record.
Walk to the main area and then walk west to the sea. Use the gold trophy,
silverware and platinum record on the Salton Sea to board the galleon.


GALLEON
-------

Get a piece of the sail. Use the crowbar on the hatch door to open the hatch.
Select the hatch to find George Roberts in the cell: He says that the galleon
is haunted. Give the coffee cup to George and he will stand up. Combine the
torn sail with the beer bottle in the inventory to make a molotov cocktail. Use
the molotov cocktail on the cell door. Use the matches on the molotov cocktail
to blow open the cell door. The ghost makes an appearance and the galleon sinks
to the bottom of the sea. Walk east through the doorway. Get the treasure
chest. Walk through the left doorway to enter the captain's room.

Get the bones from the skeleton on the bed. Try to open the rolltop desk and
the ghost will launch Ben against the wall. Exit the room and go through the
right doorway to the treasure room. Try to get the pile of coins and the ghost
will throw Ben against the wall again. Ask George to distract the ghost. After
he leaves the room, get some coins from the pile of coins. Combine the bones
with the chest and the treasure with the chest in the inventory to create the
spirit box. Use the spirit box on the treasure on the floor. Try to get more
coins from the pile of coins and the ghost will become trapped in the spirit
box. Ben and George then return to Annie's house. If you scored all 82 points,
a quick scene of Ben Jordan 3 deluxe is shown after the credits.

ANTI-VENOM KIT
  Found by giving the cactus extract to the medicine man. It is given to George
  on the lost galleon.


BLACK PEARL
  Found in the treasure room on the lost galleon after George has been asked to
  distract the ghost. It is combined with the mortar and pestle to get the
  black pearl pieces.


BLACK PEARL PIECES
  Made by combining the black pearl with the mortar and pestle. They are
  combined with the bottle of wine to make the spirit box.


BOTTLE OF BEER
  Found by ordering a beer from the barman in the Drunken Scorpion bar. After
  the dowsing stick and the box of matches have been used on the wood
  receptacle of the still in the big house, the bottle of beer is used on the
  liquid receptacle on the still to get the glob of malt.


BOTTLE OF WINE
  Found in the wine cellar on the lost galleon. The black pearl pieces are
  combined with the bottle of wine to make the spirit box.


BOTTLE OF HOME-BREWED MOONSHINE
  After the cornmeal, packet of sugar, glob of malt and packet of yeast has
  been combined with the bowl, the bowl is used in the liquid receptacle of the
  still in the big house to make the home-brewed moonshine. It is used on the
  cell door in the lost galleon.


BOWL
  Found on the table in Annie's house. The cornmeal, packet of sugar, glob of
  malt and packet of yeast are combined with the bowl. The bowl is then used in
  the liquid receptacle on the still in the big house to make the home-brewed
  moonshine.


BOX OF MATCHES
  Found in the Drunken Scorpion bar. After the dowsing stick has been used on
  the wood receptacle of the still in the big house, the box of matches are
  used on the wood receptacle. After the dynamite has been used on the safe in
  the big house in Dunesberg, the box of matches are used on the dynamite.
  After the bottle of home-brewed moonshine has been used on the cell door on
  the lost galleon, the box of matches are used on the bottle.


CACTUS CHUNK
  Found by using the knife on the cactus at the outskirts of Dunesberg. It is
  used in the liquid receptacle on the still in the old house to get the cactus
  extract.


CACTUS EXTRACT
  Found by using the cactus chunk in the liquid receptacle on the still in the
  old house. It is given to the medicine man.


CORN
  Found in the grocery store. It is combined with the mortar and pestle to make
  the cornmeal.


CORNMEAL
  Made by combining the corn with the mortar and pestle. It is combined with
  the bowl to add one of the ingredients needed for the home-brewed moonshine.


CUP OF COFFEE
  Found by ordering a cup of coffee from the clerk in the coffeehouse. It is
  not used.


DAMAGED WETSUIT
  Found in the metal box in front of the boat at the Salton Sea. The medical
  tape is combined with the damaged wetsuit to make the wetsuit.


DIVING SUIT
  Made by combining the makeshift helmet and oxygen tank with the wetsuit. It
  is used on the sea so that Ben can dive down to the lost galleon.


DOWSING STICK
  Found by asking Jebediah about moonshine in the Drunken Scorpion bar. It is
  used on the wood receptacle of the still in the big house.


DYNAMITE
  Found in the crate on the outskirts of Dunesberg. It is used on the safe in
  the big house in Dunesberg.


FAKE MAP
  Made by combining the pen with the moonshine recipe. After the flower has
  been used on the man near the table at the Salton Sea, Ben will switch the
  two maps.


FLOWER
  Found in the area with Jebediah's car at the Salton Sea. After making the
  fake map, the flower is used on the man near the table at the Salton Sea to
  get the real map.


GLOB OF MALT
  After the dowsing stick and the box of matches have been used on the wood
  receptacle of the still in the big house, the bottle of beer is used on the
  liquid receptacle to get the glob of malt. It is combined with the bowl to
  add one of the ingredients needed for the home-brewed moonshine.


KNIFE
  After Ben has drunk the Jitter Juice from the coffeehouse, the knife is found
  by challenging the knife-thrower in the bar. It is used on the cactus at the
  outskirts of Dunesberg. It is combined with the snowglobe to get the valve.


MAKESHIFT HELMET
  Made by combining the knife with the snowglobe. It is one of the items that
  is combined with the wetsuit to make the diving suit.


MEDICAL TAPE
  Found by giving the cactus extract to the medicine man. It is combined with
  the damaged wetsuit to make the wetsuit.


MONEY
  Available at the start of the game. It is used to buy the mortar and pestle
  from the medicine man's shop, the ear of corn from the grocery store, the
  beer from the Drunken Scorpion bar, the coffee from the coffeehouse and the
  large snowglobe from the Salton Sea souvenir shop.


MOONSHINE RECIPE
  Found in the safe in the big house in Dunesberg. It has to be looked at in
  the inventory before the home-made moonshine can be made. The pen is combined
  with the moonshine recipe to make the fake map.


MORTAR AND PESTLE
  Found on the shelf in the medicine man's shop. The corn is combined with the
  mortar and pestle to make the cornmeal. The black pearl is combined with the
  mortar and pestle to make the black pearl pieces.


OXYGEN TANK
  Found by giving the valve to the woman near the balloon. It is one of the
  items that is combined with the wetsuit to make the diving suit.


PACKET OF SUGAR
  Found in the tray in the coffeehouse. The packet of sugar can only be taken
  after Ben has ordered the cup of coffee. It is combined with the bowl to add
  one of the ingredients needed for the home-brewed moonshine.


PACKET OF YEAST
  Found in the safe in the big house in Dunesberg. It is combined with the bowl
  to add one of the ingredients needed for the home-brewed moonshine.


PEN
  The Salton Sea souvenir clerk gives the pen to Ben when he buys the snowglobe
  from the shop. It is combined with the moonshine recipe to make the fake map.


REAL MAP
  After making the fake map, the flower can be used on the man near the table
  at the Salton Sea to get the real map. It is looked at to find the location
  of the lost galleon.


SNOWGLOBE
  Found in the Salton Sea souvenir shop. The knife is combined with the
  snowglobe to get the valve.


SPIRIT BOX
  Made by combining the black pearl pieces with the bottle of wine. It is
  used on the ghost in the treasure room on the lost galleon.


VALVE
  Made by combining the knife with the snowglobe. It is given to the woman in
  the area with the balloon to get the oxygen tank.


WETSUIT
  Made by combining the medical tape with the damaged wetsuit. The makeshift
  helmet and oxygen tank are combined with the wetsuit to make the diving suit.

3.2.                                Deluxe

BEER BOTTLE
  Found by ordering a drink from the bartender in the Drunken Scorpion bar.
  After moonshine has been made in the bowl, the bowl is combined with the beer
  bottle. The beer bottle is then given to the old prospector in the bar. The
  torn sail is combined with the beer bottle to make the molotov cocktail.


BONES
  Found on the skeleton in the captain's room on the galleon. It is one of the
  items that is combined with the chest on the galleon to make the spirit box.


BOOK
  Found by asking the medicine man about spirituality. It is opened in the
  inventory to find the laminated bookmark.


BOWL
  Found on the table in Annie's house. After examining the old paper, the
  marmite, malt, cornmeal and sugar is combined with the bowl. It is then used
  on the bathtub outside the abandoned mine. After moonshine has been made in
  the bowl, the bowl is combined with the beer bottle. The empty bowl can then
  be given back to Annie in her house for an easily missed point.


CAR KEY
  Available at the start of the Bombay Beach section. After Mama leaves on the
  date with Harold, the car key is given to Aqua Lad in the trailer.


CHEST
  Found in the hall on the galleon. The bones and the treasure are combined
  with the chest to make the spirit box.


COFFEE CUP
  Found after ordering coffee from the barista in the coffee shop. It is given
  to George Roberts in the cell on the galleon.


CORN
  Found in the produce basket in the supermarket. It is given to the cashier in
  the supermarket to buy it. It is combined with the mortar and pestle to make
  cornmeal.


CORNMEAL
  Made by combining the corn with the mortar and pestle and then using the
  mortar and pestle. After examining the old paper, it is one of four items
  that is combined with the bowl.


CROWBAR
  Found after opening the safe in the Radley house. It is used on the entrance
  to the abandoned mine. It is used on the trunk of the abandoned car on Bombay
  Beach to find George's journal. It is used on the hatch on the galleon.


DOWSING STICK
  Found by asking the old prospector in the Drunken Scorpion bar about
  moonshine. After examining the old paper, it is used on the bathtub outside
  the abandoned mine.


GEORGE'S JOURNAL
  Found by using the crowbar on the trunk of the abandoned car on Bombay Beach.
  It is opened in the inventory to read the poem.


GLASS TUBE
  Found on the statue outside the medicine man's shop. After examining the old
  paper, it is used on the bathtub outside the abandoned mine.


GOLD TROPHY
  After the car key has been given to Aqua Lad in the trailer on Bombay Beach,
  the gold trophy can be taken from the shelf. It is one of three items that is
  thrown into the Salton Sea to make the galleon appear.


LAMINATED BOOKMARK
  Found by opening the book in the inventory. It is used on the door of the
  Radley house.


MALT
  Made by combining the malted milk balls with the mortar and pestle and then
  using the mortar and pestle. After examining the old paper, it is one of four
  items that is combined with the bowl.


MALTED MILK BALLS
  Found on the shelf in the supermarket. They are given to the cashier in the
  supermarket to buy them. They are combined with the mortar and pestle to make
  malt. They are given to the man near the Salton Sea on Bombay Beach.


MARMITE
  Found by asking the young man in the supermarket about British food. After
  examining the old paper, it is one of four items that is combined with the
  bowl.


MATCHES
  Found on the bar in the Drunken Scorpion bar. After the glass tube, dowsing
  stick and bowl with four moonshine ingredients have been used on the bathtub
  outside the abandoned mine, the matches are used on the firewood to make
  moonshine. After the molotov cocktail has been used on the cell door on the
  galleon, the matches are used on the molotov cocktail.


MOLOTOV COCKTAIL
  Made by combining the beer bottle with the torn sail. It is used on the cell
  door on the galleon. The matches are then used to light the molotov cocktail.


MORTAR AND PESTLE
  Found on the shelf in the medicine man's shop. It is used to grind the malted
  milk balls into malt and the corn into cornmeal.

  Available at the start of the game. Notes about what to do next are added to
  the notepad throughout the game.


OLD PAPER
  Found after opening the safe in the Radley house. It is examined in the
  inventory to see the recipe for moonshine.


PLASTIC FLOWERS
  Found on the table in the motel on Bombay Beach. They are given to the
  man near the Salton Sea on Bombay Beach.


PLATINUM RECORD
  Found by giving the completed song to Edgar Meadows outside the distant
  trailer on Bombay Beach. It is one of three items that is thrown into the
  Salton Sea to make the galleon appear.


POLICE REPORT
  Found by asking Annie about her husband. It is not used.


SIGNAL SCRAMBLER
  Found on the table in the abandoned mine. It is switched on in the coffee
  shop to make the woman on the phone leave the shop.


SILVERWARE
  Found by opening the cabinet drawer in the motel on Bombay Beach. It is one
  of three items that is thrown into the Salton Sea to make the galleon appear.


SONG
  Found by offering to help Edgar Meadows with his song. After the song has
  been completed, it is given back to Edgar to receive the platinum record.


SPIRIT BOX
  Made by combining the bones and the treasure with the chest. It is used on
  the floor near the treasure in the treasure room on the galleon.


STETHOSCOPE
  Found on the skeleton in the medicine man's shop. It is used on the safe in
  the Radley house.


SUGAR
  Found after ordering coffee from the barista in the coffee shop. After
  examining the old paper, it is one of four items that is combined with the
  bowl.


TORN SAIL
  Found by taking a piece of the sail on the galleon. It is combined with the
  beer bottle in the inventory to make the molotov cocktail.


TREASURE
  After asking George to distract the ghost on the galleon, the treasure is
  found by taking the pile of coins. It is one of the items that is combined
  with the chest on the galleon to make the spirit box.
