Best rated Adventure Games for Nintendo page 11

Below you'll find an overview of Adventure Games that have received a very high rating based on our reviews, the list is sorted based on highest rated Adventure Game first combined with recency of the review we've done.

Spirit of the North  (2019)

Spirit of the North may look as nice as it sounds, but it’s largely disappointing and unforgivably boring, offering only a superficial story and sorely lacking interesting exploration.

The Unholy Society  (2020)

To forgive is divine, but The Unholy Society comes up sinfully short in too many areas to deserve a full redemption without further acts of contrition in future installments.

Silver Chains  (2019)

Apart from a few pulse-pounding moments in an otherwise generic haunted house story, the weakest link in Silver Chains is that it’s just not very scary or engaging enough to survive as an adventure game otherwise.

Layers of Fear 2  (2019)

Similarly to its predecessor, a striking presentation is not enough for Layers of Fear 2 to overcome a jumbled menagerie of cliches, jump scares, and overwrought writing.

Without Escape  (2018)

The few complex puzzles in Without Escape tease a more involved room-escape adventure with greater potential, but as it stands, there’s simply no escaping the fact that it isn’t much fun.

Memoranda  (2017)

Memoranda is visually stunning with an inviting atmosphere, but the lack of both plot and puzzle logic is too great to overcome.

Layers of Fear  (2016)

More an incoherent collection of jump scares than a horror game, Layers of Fear occasionally spooks but doesn’t make much of a lasting impression.

The Tiny Bang Story  (2011)

The Tiny Bang Story looks absolutely stunning and shows glimpses of promise, but it’s ultimately overshadowed by poor story development and puzzle progression.

The Silver Case  (2016)

Perhaps best left locked in the past, The Silver Case is not worth looking into unless you REALLY like visual novels and Suda51 and have a lot of patience.

Cyanide & Happiness: Freakpocalypse – Part 1: Hall Pass to Hell  (2021)

Although Freakpocalypse – Part 1: Hall Pass to Hell ends a little prematurely, this pun-packed and polished traditional point-and-click series debut should appeal both to fans of the Cyanide & Happiness web comic and genre aficionados looking for a fun cartoon-styled adventure.

Elea: Episode 1  (2018)

Along with a number of rough edges, Elea’s attempts at surrealism on a spaceship prevent this first-person explorer from delivering a compelling narrative experience in its episodic debut.

Sally Face: Episode One – Strange Neighbors  (2016)

It’s sometimes too convoluted for its own good, and its macabre take on certain subjects might turn some players off, but the complete five-part Sally Face is a worthwhile and wholly unique gaming experience that has to be played to be believed.

Sally Face  (2019)

Odysseus Kosmos and his Robot Quest: Episode One  (2017)

The short introductory chapter of Odysseus Kosmos and his Robot Quest features beautiful retro-style art and sets up what has the potential to be an interesting sci-fi story, though with plenty of room in its writing and animation to improve in those areas.

Odysseus Kosmos and his Robot Quest  (2019)

The five-part Odysseus Kosmos and his Robot Quest sets up an interesting sci-fi story with a beautiful pixel art presentation, but it has a number of flaws that create an uneven experience overall.

Kona  (2017)

Kona does an admirable job of trying to make a survival game that feels like a true adventure, but ends up coming short on the gameplay.
