Best rated Adventure Games for Xbox page 10

Below you'll find an overview of Adventure Games that have received a very high rating based on our reviews, the list is sorted based on highest rated Adventure Game first combined with recency of the review we've done.

Kentucky Route Zero: Act II  (2013)

Kentucky Route Zero‘s second act keeps things weird, but feels a tad slight and uneventful compared to the first.

Chaos on Deponia  (2012)

Very similar to its predecessor with a few improvements in pacing and story, Chaos on Deponia is a solid adventure that fans of LucasArts-style comedies will likely enjoy.

Edna & Harvey: Harvey’s New Eyes  (2012)

Another entertaining game for those who can’t get enough of the wacky blue plush rabbit, Harvey’s New Eyes simplifies the Edna & Harvey experience but is slightly less fun to play as a result.

Deponia  (2012)

With its 2D cartoon aesthetic, simple point-and-click interface, and challenging puzzles, Deponia is classic old-school adventuring in many ways, making it worth playing even when the storytelling falters.

The Dark Eye: Chains of Satinav  (2012)

Chains of Satinav boasts incredible artwork and atmosphere, though it’s populated by weak characters that spoil some of the appeal.

Sam & Max: Episode 3 - The Mole, the Mob, and the Meatball  (2007)

So far Season One is not particularly epic or memorable, but still a very good-looking and extremely fun diversion, and faithful to its franchise. But we're all hoping for a bit longer game next time.

Sam & Max: Season One  (2007)

The long-awaited and largely enjoyable series revival of Sam & Max gets a solid port on Nintendo Wii, though not without a few minor issues.

Sam & Max: Episode 2 - Situation: Comedy  (2007)

It is still Sam & Max, y'know. Situation: Comedy is a very fun way to spend a couple hours for a very reasonable price. It will be up to Episode 3 to really start building more momentum, though.

Sam & Max: Season One  (2007)

The long-awaited and largely enjoyable series revival of Sam & Max gets a solid port on Nintendo Wii, though not without a few minor issues.

She Sees Red  (2019)

She Sees Red is a highly atmospheric, well-acted (but poorly dubbed) interactive movie that will keep you engaged for about the same length as a film before faltering a bit under its limited choice format.

Twelve Minutes  (2021)

In cramming a time-looping murder mystery into the confines of a small inner-city studio apartment, Twelve Minutes offers much to appreciate, though the execution suffers somewhat from the limitations such a premise inevitably brings with it.

Distraint 2  (2018)

Rudimentary puzzles somewhat undermine Distraint 2’s otherwise compelling, evocatively presented tale of one man’s fraught, nightmarish journey towards redemption.

Sanity of Morris  (2021)

Its stealth mechanics are basic and its hand-holding puzzle design doesn’t provide much of a challenge, but Sanity of Morris’s world, characters and story are certainly thrilling enough to see this creepy X-Files-esque conspiracy through to the end.

Hitchhiker – A Mystery Game  (2021)

A wild ride full of bizarre anecdotes, cryptic characters and gorgeous drives, Hitchhiker – A Mystery Game offers up more than the average road trip, though the dense dialogue and the finale’s sudden ending prevent it from reaching top gear.

Lost Words: Beyond the Page  (2020)

The lovely Lost Words has some interesting ideas and presents a well-written, authentic tale of a young girl’s grief, but uninspired platforming drags the experience down.

The Medium  (2021)

The Medium creates a nightmarish limbo for untethered souls in which players must evade, outwit and even aid its horrific inhabitants, but the strong atmosphere and effective scares aren’t enough to completely atone for a poorly constructed story and one-dimensional protagonist.

Transient  (2020)

Transient deserves recognition for seamlessly concocting a stunning blend of sci-fi and Lovecraftian horror, but it deserves more space to fully come to fruition than what it’s afforded here.

Metamorphosis  (2020)

Its polished presentation and unusual premise make for a promising start to Metamorphosis, but the shallow gameplay and increasingly abstract direction prove to be something of a buzzkill.

The Pillar  (2019)

The idea behind The Pillar works when done well, as we’ve seen before, but a bit more substance is needed to make both the beautiful world and its gameplay click better here. As it stands, it must settle for being a decent, if imperfect, puzzler.

Creepy Tale  (2020)

The side-scrolling Creepy Tale offers a captivating journey through the dark woods of imagination, but a short playtime and an overly-derivative visual style make it hard to enjoy fully.

Weakless  (2019)

Emphasizing style over substance, Weakless provides plenty of gorgeous views to appreciate but little else to leave a lasting impression.

Planet RIX-13  (2017)

Planet RIX-13 doesn’t offer much from either a puzzle or narrative perspective, but it does provide a constant sense of progress while exploring an interesting alien setting. It’s the kind of casual game that could perhaps best be described as a guilty pleasure, though with its short runtime, there’s actually very little to even feel guilty about.
