Best rated Adventure Games for iOS page 9

Below you'll find an overview of Adventure Games that have received a very high rating based on our reviews, the list is sorted based on highest rated Adventure Game first combined with recency of the review we've done.

Agent A: A puzzle in disguise  (2015)

Agent A is a little amuse-bouche that should somewhat whet your appetite for the next tale in this hopefully ongoing iOS spy series.

2064: Read Only Memories  (2015)

Though let down by weak gameplay, Read Only Memories is one of the most human games available this year, which is remarkable for a cyberpunk game dealing with robots and transhumanism.

The Adventures of Bertram Fiddle: Episode 1 - A Dreadly Business  (2014)

More quirky than funny, A Dreadly Business is by no means spectacular, but nor does it do anything wrong, settling for being a solid, well-made debut episode.

Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth  (2010)

Miles Edgeworth maintains the series’ absurd comedy and entertaining truth wrangling, but its reduced challenge and dull storylines hardly make for “perfect prosecuting”.

Tales of Monkey Island: Chapter 4 – The Trial and Execution of Guybrush Threepwood  (2009)

The fourth chapter is an episode you’re sure to have an opinion about—and equally sure to spend some time stumped in—but it’s ultimately no more than a good, not great, adventure game with a bang-up cliffhanger.

Who Pressed Mute on Uncle Marcus?  (2022)

The acting is good and the central mystery is intriguing enough to want to see it through, but Who Pressed Mute on Uncle Marcus? isn’t able to rise above its repetitive nature and lack of any real gameplay to maintain interest all the way to the final unveiling.

Fate of Kai  (2021)

Though Fate of Kai features a clever gameplay concept and enjoyable comic book aesthetic, its simple puzzles, slight story, and a few notable moments of frustration keep the game from reaching its potential.

SIMULACRA 2  (2019)

Although it doesn’t feel entirely phoned-in, SIMULACRA 2 fails to either build on its predecessor’s style or provide enough worthwhile substance of its own, making for a sequel that isn’t quite transmitting at full strength.

The Black Widow  (2019)

The Black Widow is an interesting reflection on the real life case of Louisa Collins, the last woman hanged in Australia, but doesn’t provide enough depth or any surprises to make it truly memorable.

Lovecraft Quest – A Comix Game  (2018)

Stylish to look at but short on substance, Lovecraft Quest: A Comix Game has a few fun puzzles to beef up its brief story, but too much repetition stops it from becoming a Great One.

The Franz Kafka Videogame  (2017)

The Franz Kafka Videogame offers a highly surreal taste of the renowned author’s works in a linear puzzle-oriented experience, but lacks enough depth to truly do them justice.

Karma. Incarnation 1  (2016)

Although an aesthetically impressive achievement, the surreal Karma. Incarnation 1 is unfortunately let down by a confusingly abstract story that can be completed more by just following available steps than by any extensive thought.

The Mystery of Haunted Hollow  (2014)

A solid but unremarkable casual experience, The Mystery of Haunted Hollow surrounds its creepy tale with a nice variety of easy puzzling and places to explore.

The Mystery of Haunted Hollow 2  (2016)

If you’re up for a puzzle-filled casual adventure through creepy environs, The Mystery of Haunted Hollow 2 should fill the void, though its story and challenge feel entirely insubstantial.

Old Man’s Journey  (2017)

Old Man’s Journey isn’t so much a game as it is an interpretive tale one can experience, though it does at least hold some emotional value. It’s a bit repetitive, but too short to really become a bother, and may appeal to players looking for a somber tale to while an afternoon away with.

Red Comrades Save the Galaxy – Reloaded  (2016)

Although it might be worth checking out Red Comrades Save the Galaxy for the sake of novelty alone, don’t expect too much from either the plot or the puzzles. You’ll just end up confused anyway.

Whispering Willows  (2014)

Whispering Willows has an engaging story and superlative production quality, but fails to build on its strengths, eventually becoming an exercise in drudgery due to its insipid quests and irritating game design.

Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller - Episode 4: The Cain Killer  (2013)

Definitely the low point of the series, The Cain Killer is obviously still a must-play if you’re invested in the Cognition series thus far, though it reminds us that Phoenix Online has a lot of room to grow.

Secret Files 3  (2012)

Secret Files 3 replaces romance with rocket science, but its convoluted premise, simplistic puzzles, and slapdash resolutions make it the weakest link of the trilogy.
