Review of Discworld II: Missing Presumed...!? by debudding

Cult Appeal

I found this game very hard. The puzzles were often times tedious and an exercise in guessing what obscure solution to an issue the game designers had come up with, rather than problem solving it yourself out right. That said, the humor, voice actors, dialogue and cult appeal of this game lifts it above 3 stars for me. If you are a fan of the books, get a walkthrough to help deal with some of the odd puzzles and sit back an enjoy some hilarious hijynx with everyone’s favorite wizard who is, amazingly, voiced by the Monty Python legend Eric Idle! This is not to mention other notable voice performances from British comedy legends such as Nigel Planer from The Young Ones! Seriously, this is a game so caked in cult appeal and British humor that it simply must be played at least once… even with a massive dependency on a walkthrough.
