Review of The Testament of Sherlock Holmes by Niclas

An interesting story with some nice environments to explore. What I particularly enjoyed about this game is the deduction board where Holmes recreates the crime scene. It really forces the player to think in a creative way by analysing all given clues. Definelty a fresh approach to solving puzzles. What I did not like about this game is the stand alone puzzles, which there are tons of. Too many if you ask me. There are lots of slider puzzles, and few jig saw puzzles, and there is even a maze in the and a timed puzzle in the end. Also which was pretty irritating is that these stand alone puzzles felt so out of place most of the time. They were not really well integrated into the environment, and felt very forced. However there are still some enjoyable puzzles of this type that feels right, but not many. Overall a good game, but not as great as it could have been. I would have given this game a much better score if it was not for the annoying puzzle design.
