a WALL-E-ish piece of adventurey brilliance

the ONLY thing wrong with this game is that it’s a bit short. the art style (sketchy, mechanical, muted, decayed robot city kinda deal) is breathtaking and aided by highly atmospheric top-quality music and sound design. there is even more emphasis on these elements too, cos the game has no dialogue—the tone is very similar to the almost silent film style of the first half of the brilliant Pixar film WALL-E. and just like WALL-E, the animation and storytelling are so good that you’re able to experience a deep level of feeling for your little robotic protagonist and his quest to save his kidnapped girlfriend. puzzles are very well designed and even occasionally show some love for total old-school arcade favourites. it’s hard to believe that this game was completely developed in Flash. It’s a popular download, but i recommend the Collector’s Edition retail version which comes with a beautiful slip case, a poster, a complete graphic walkthrough booklet & the game’s soundtrack on Audio CD!
