Review of Sally Face: Episode One – Strange Neighbors by jacal01

The initial episode is more about story setup than game, but this little sidescroller quickly immerses you with its creepy ambience and chilling innuendos.  An almost Kabuki theater effect of the protagonist Sal’s blue pigtailed white facemask heightens one’s sense of surrealism.

And the gaming is more than meets the eye, once you finish initial playthrough and start playing for all the achievements offered, including a hidden Gameboy minigame impacting main gameplay.  Be advised that Sal’s interaction with his locale is not strictly limited to just the highlighted items. 

Quite an atmospheric charmer.
