The Excavation of Hob’s Barrow Coming to Nintendo Switch

The Excavation of Hob's Barrow, the critically acclaimed folk horror adventure game from indie team Cloak & Dagger Games and published by Wadjet Eye Games, is coming to the Nintendo Switch on January 25.

In The Excavation of Hob's Barrow, players follow the story of antiquarian Thomasina Bateman as she travels to the small village of Bewlay in rural Victorian England to research and documents the treasures found within the local barrow. Upon her arrival, however, she finds that the man who summoned her is nowhere to be found, her assistant has not arrived, and the locals are wary of her presence. As if that wasn't enough, Thomasina starts having strange dreams as she tries to uncover the mysteries of the barrow.

The Excavation of Hob's Barrow was initially released on Steam and GOG in September 2022 and received an 86% review average on OpenCritic. We previously reviewed The Excavation of Hob's Barrow and gave it a rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars, stating that it is "an outstanding horror game, a spine-tingling story brought to life by well-executed graphics, music, interface, and voice acting."
