Seeds planted for A Peculiar Adventure On Bast

You just never know what the future might have in store. Just think: right now, somewhere in the world, a person you've never met may directly be connected to your fate – and you theirs – without either of you even knowing it. Sound implausible? Not at all. At least, not in Clockwork Pepper's upcoming adventure A Peculiar Adventure On Bast.

On opposite sides of the continent, two very different anthropomorphic cats are dissatisfied with their lives and want to make a change. Of course, they want very different things: Walt is a door-to-door salesman who is tired of being poor and is devising a scheme to become filthy rich, while Aldar is the "great Emperor" who just wants to do "what every unaging being with mysterious etheric powers locked away in their palace wants to do – go for a simple stroll through the streets." Little do the two know that a "great secret" will cause their destinies to intersect in ways they'd have never imagined.

The steampunk world of A Peculiar Adventure On Bast will consist of a variety of colourful locations presented in a cartoony hand-painted art style. Players will alternate control between Walt and Aldar, each fully voiced and pursuing their own objectives, oblivious at first to the other's existence. As their fates begin to inevitably converge, they will encounter "crazy gadgets, charismatic characters [and] a hint of the uncanny," as well as many "head-scratching" puzzles to solve, ranging from "traditional point-and-click ones, to brain teasers and mini-games." Or, if you'd rather just enjoy the tale without bothering with the added challenge, you can play in "story" mode instead.

There is no target release date just yet, but aready A Peculiar Adventure on Bast can be wishlisted on Steam, where it will be launched for Windows, Mac and Linux when finished.
