Lucidus Mortem to find life soon on PC

Often supernatural mysteries involve spirits who continue to linger here in our realm even after their deaths due to some unfulfilled purpose. In Indigo Studios' upcoming Lucidus Mortem, however, it's we who must travel to the other side to rescue the soul of one dearly departed.

Players control Samuel, a man with "occult beliefs and very revolutionary ideas" who is contacted by an elderly father grieving over the loss of his daughter to suicide. Believing her eternal spirit to be troubled due to the cause of her death, the two conduct a voodoo ritual that allows Samuel to travel to "a world where only people who have died violently can access." There he must try to find and "recover Alice's soul so she can rest in peace... But the story Samuel will discover as he enters that world will make him realize that nothing is what it seems."

As with Seven Doors, the developer's previous puzzle-based title, Lucidus Mortem is a dark, atmospheric free-roaming first-person adventure. Unlike its predecessor, however, the new game is far more story-driven, with numerous "mysterious characters" to interact with and player choice being a key factor in how the narrative unfolds. As players navigate the 1930s world, they will make their way from the land of the living to that of "the beyond," an underworld "from which no one has ever been able to escape."

There is currently no target launch date for Lucidus Mortem, but the game is listed as "coming soon" on Steam for Windows PC
