Launch time starts now for Henry’s Day

February 2nd may be the famous recurring date for Bill Murray's Groundhog Day, but November 11th marks the launch of Elusive Panda's own time-loop adventure, Henry's Day.

Players control the eponymous young man who finds himself inexplicably "stuck in a recurring day" in his hometown of Summer City. Why? That's just one of the questions that need answering, the more important one being: how can he break the cycle and escape? If you're to help Henry find a way out of this predicament, you'll need to chat with the friendly locals and perform favours for them to enlist their aid. Fortunately you'll find that "an item that one person gives you may be useful to someone else," so "collecting and exchanging the right items will help you to discover why Henry is stuck in the same day."

An open-world adventure presented in both third- and first-person 3D, Henry's Day allows players to freely explore the city, from the "tall buildings to the beautiful park to the various businesses" he encounters. In between scavenging for money and items to build up your inventory, you'll have choices to make in conversation with others that will impact your success. There are even side quests to pursue, but remember that you have only a day before time resets and you must start all over again. An on-screen timer keeps track of the time as day gradually gives way to night and your impending deadline approaches. The game is not over if forced to restart, of course, as you'll end up back at Henry's apartment to try again, this time armed with all the knowledge you acquired the last time around.

If you're up for a little time-looping adventuring, there's no time like the present as Henry's Day is available now on Steam for Windows PC.
