Insomnis gets rousing release on the PlayStation Store

The witching hour of Halloween is nearly upon us, which means it's time for all manner of creepy things to crawl out of the woodwork. One such spine-tingling treat to emerge from the shadows is Path Games' Insomnis, a first-person horror adventure available now exclusively on PlayStation platforms.

Things seemed to be looking up for Joe Castevet when he inherited an old mansion. Of course, as everyone who's ever seen, read, or played a horror story knows, such legacies often prove to be curses rather than blessings. Sure enough, Joe soon discovers that "haunted Castevet mansion hides a dark secret," and if he's going to uncover it and get out alive, he'll need to keep his wits about him to solve puzzles and make key choices leading to one of multiple possible endings.

Inspired by the "great horror classics" and presented in free-roaming, first-person 3D, Insomnis will take players on a nightmarish journey through the old family manor. Though the game promises plenty of chills along the way, there will be no combat to worry about, just a variety of puzzles and riddles that will require "using all kinds of items" to solve. But beware the choices you make as you progress, as your decisions will affect the path you're able to take and ultimately impact the final outcome as well.

Developed as a part of the PlayStation Talents project in Spain, Insomnis is now available for download only on the PlayStation Store for PS4, with support for PS5 consoles as well.
