First details emerge from Supermassive’s The Devil In Me

Supermassive Games certainly doesn't rest on their laurels. Mere days after the launch of House of Ashes comes word of the fourth standalone installment in The Dark Pictures Anthology, a "season finale" called The Devil In Me.

This time around, players will follow "a group of documentary filmmakers who receive a mysterious invite to a replica of the 'Murder Castle' of H.H. Holmes, America’s first serial killer." Nothing they ever learned in film school could have prepared them for what happens next, however, as "they soon discover that they’re being watched, and there is much more at stake."

That's all we know of the story for now, though if the introductory trailer is any indication, we can expect plenty of terror at the hands of a psychopath, watching in horror as the "unfortunate crew falls prey to a twisted game master." Indeed, The Devil In Me promises to be "the anthology's most bloodcurdling story yet, where players' choices, more than ever, determine who lives and who dies."

While no launch date or platforms have yet been announced, the series' history suggests we should be seeing The Devil In Me released for PC, PlayStation and Xbox consoles sometime next year.
