A Tropical Open-World Adventure Arrives on PlayStation and Epic Games Store

The highly anticipated open-world adventure game, Tchia, has officially been released on PlayStation 4 and 5, as well as on the Epic Games Store and Humble Bundle, with a Steam launch expected in the near future. Developed by Awaceb, Tchia transports players to a beautiful tropical paradise inspired by the real-world island of New Caledonia. The game is now available to players with PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium memberships, allowing them to embark on a breathtaking adventure from the moment of release.

Tchia follows the story of a young girl on a quest to rescue her father from the clutches of the villainous tyrant, Meavora. Players can explore a vibrant, physics-driven sandbox world while climbing, gliding, swimming, and sailing around picturesque islands. Tchia's unique "soul jumping" ability allows players to take control of any animal or object, providing endless opportunities for creativity and problem-solving.

The game features exploration and traversal mechanics, enabling players to climb and perform incredible stunts and dives freely. Gamers can also customize their boat and sail across crystal-clear lagoons while uncovering the mysteries of the archipelago.

A fully playable ukulele serves as a trusty companion throughout the game, with players using the instrument to trigger special events, such as attracting animals or triggering rainfall. Tchia's story is brought to life through fully animated cutscenes voiced in traditional languages, accompanied by an original orchestral score that draws on the sounds of New Caledonia.

In addition to its captivating gameplay, Tchia offers extensive customization options for the protagonist's clothing and boat, with hundreds of unlockable cosmetic items. Players can also discover useful tools like a flashlight, slingshot, compass, and camera during their journey.

Awaceb's co-founders drew inspiration for Tchia from their homeland, the small Pacific island of New Caledonia. The game incorporates the island's rich and diverse landscapes, cultures, music, languages, and folklore to create an immersive and universally relatable story. The characters are voiced by local talent in traditional languages, and the game is subtitled in multiple languages, including English, French, Russian, Chinese, and German.

To celebrate the game's launch, a stunning new trailer has been released, and offering players a glimpse of the breathtaking world they will soon be able to explore. Get ready to embark on an unforgettable journey of self-discovery with Tchia, now available on PlayStation 4 and 5, as well as on the Epic Games Store and Humble Bundle, with a Steam release coming soon.
