Solve a Sinister Murder in a Haunted Art Gallery with Murderous Muses

Indie game developer D’Avekki Studios has announced the release of their latest game, Murderous Muses, a procedurally generated murder mystery puzzle adventure set in a haunted art gallery. The game challenges players to solve a sinister murder and features infinite replayability, with procedurally generated galleries, puzzles, and murders that can only be solved through deduction.

Unlike most narrative games, Murderous Muses allows gamers to keep playing to improve their run times and scores. The seed-based generation system also lets players share and compare stats with friends across all platforms. The game will launch on Steam, Xbox One/Series, and PlayStation 4/5 on April 12th.

"Creating a 3D FMV adventure game has been a whole new world for us and the most fun to make and play so far," said D’Avekki Studios director Tim Cowles. "It’s something we’ve wanted to do ever since playing Phantasmagoria and Under A Killing Moon back in the ‘90s, and I’m grateful that tools like Unity have allowed our tiny team to level up!"

This is D’Avekki Studios' first foray into 3D, following their critically acclaimed Full Motion Video titles The Infectious Madness of Doctor Dekker, The Shapeshifting Detective, and Dark Nights with Poe and Munro. The company, run by husband and wife Tim and Lynda Cowles, is based in the East of England and also writes and manufactures best-selling murder mystery dinner party games.

Fans of mystery and adventure games can look forward to diving into the twisted world of Murderous Muses and solving the eerie murder mystery that awaits them in the haunted art gallery. With its procedurally generated puzzles and murders, players can expect a unique experience every time they play, making Murderous Muses a game worth revisiting again and again.
