The Black Hawk takes flight in new Kickstarter campaign

A new Kickstarter campaign has been launched for The Adventures of The Black Hawk, a classic-style adventure game that hearkens to the glory days of Lucasarts point-and-click adventures. The game is set in the days leading up to the French Revolution and follows the story of a masked nobleman who fights against the injustice and abuse of the aristocracy.

The Adventures of The Black Hawk is a point-and-click adventure game that takes inspiration from classic Lucasarts adventures of the 90s, such as The Secret of Monkey Island, Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, and Touché. The game features pixelated graphics and a retro soundscape and promises to provide hours of fun for fans of the genre.

The story starts with the beginning of the French Revolution. The nobility is abusing the peasant class, and the atmosphere of hostility and decadence among the population is increasing. Meanwhile, the figure of The Black Hawk appears, a masked man who threatens the rich, stealing their excessive belongings and returning them to the people. The Black Hawk turns out to be Jean-Pierre de Saint Cove, a nobleman in a relevant social position who uses his status to know the weaknesses of the nobility and thus be able to carry out his own reckoning.

During one of his thefts, the police mayor, Baron Le Comeau, stabs the Black Hawk's face, leaving Jean-Pierre in check, who will not be able to show himself before the nobility as he knows him and causing great suspicion about him. From this moment begins our exciting adventure full of humor; our protagonist must now solve the village's mysteries, discover the Court's secrets, and return what belongs to the people--all while avoiding discovery. Can the Black Hawk complete the adventure?

The Kickstarter campaign aims to raise €16,000 to fund the game's development. Stretch goals include voice acting, an expanded soundtrack, and additional languages. The game is currently being developed for PC, with Mac and Linux versions planned if the campaign is successful.
