KeokeN’s next sci-fi adventure to Deliver Us Mars

For their debut adventure, Dutch developer KeokeN Interactive managed to send players to the moon. For an encore performance, they're setting their sights even further out in space in their upcoming sequel, Deliver Us Mars

Ten years after Deliver Us The Moon's Fortuna mission, the outlook for a seriously depleted Earth has not improved. In fact, "humanity is closer than ever to extinction." Against this bleak backdrop, a "mysterious distress call" is received from Mars, and the crew of the Zephyr is tasked with investigating. Players assume control of an unnamed young woman as part of the expedition to journey to the Red Planet to "recover the ARK colony ships stolen by the mysterious Outward, and with them, ensure the survival of the human race." To endure the "harsh and unforgiving terrain" of Mars, you'll need to employ "both brains and brawn to overcome mental and physical challenges, find the ARKs, and uncover the motivations of those behind the distress call that brought you here."

While Deliver Us Mars "expands on the events of its predecessor," its goal is to offer an all-new "suspense-fuelled, high-stakes mission" that anyone can enjoy. Both returning players and newcomers can expect a "handcrafted, emotional" third-person experience with crisp visuals and immersive sound, accompanied by a certain familiar companion drone. For all its similarities to the previous game, however, the sequel promises to be a "radical step forward in both gameplay and narrative presentation," produced in collaboration with publisher Frontier Foundry. To that end, there will be "numerous new mechanics" introduced, including "a climbing system that will enable (your) character to readily traverse the terrain of Mars."

There is currently no target release date for Deliver Us Mars, but the game is listed as "coming soon" on Steam and the Epic Games Store for Windows PC. Console versions are also planned for PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
