We’ll soon find out Who Pressed Mute on Uncle Marcus
Dysfunctional family gatherings can be killers, but usually that's meant more figuratively than literally. Not so in Wales Interactive and Good Gate Media's upcoming interactive FMV mystery, Who Pressed Mute on Uncle Marcus?
This game isn't so much a whodunit as a whotriedtodunit, as "someone has attempted murder on Uncle Marcus during the yearly family quiz." Fortunately they failed, but there's no reason the culprit(s) won't try again, so Marcus has turned to you to speak to the various family members remotely to "uncover the truth and try to save him before it is too late."
We don't know much more about the "eccentric FMV murder mystery with a twist," but Who Pressed Mute on Uncle Marcus? looks to follow very much in the footsteps of the co-developers' previous games such as The Complex, Night Book, Bloodshore and Five Dates. Filmed with live actors, the game's cast includes Andy Buckley (The Office), Robbie Kay (Once Upon a Time, Pinocchio), Georgia Small (Five Dates) and Al Weaver (The Complex). Player choice will be crucial in determining who's telling the truth and who's lying, and how you approach your interrogation of the suspects could well determine the success of your investigation.
There is no firm release date just yet, but it's not far off as Who Pressed Mute on Uncle Marcus? is due out on Steam for Windows PC, along with console and mobile versions for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, iOS and Android devices sometime in the first quarter of 2022.
