First details arouse interest in Amos Green’s Final Repose

There's still plenty of 2021 left to go, but that won't stop us from looking ahead to the new year – not when there's a new Carol Reed adventure to eagerly anticipate, this time in the form of Amos Green's Final Repose.

The titular victim is an elderly man found dead near an animal feeding station no longer in use in a part of a Swedish national forest that has "been closed down for almost a decade due to a planned controlled burning." Curiously, the name of Carol Reed's friend Stina was "found in the man's pocket, although he was totally unknown to Stina." Eager to solve the mystery of both Amos's death and his connection to her friend, the amateur English sleuth begins her seventeenth case, an investigation that will lead her to "a summer colony which has been closed down by the authorities, and where no humans have set foot in over 20 years."

As we've come to fully expect from each new annual installment from MDNA Games, Amos Green's Final Repose will once again be a first-person slideshow-style adventure that sends players through hundreds of photographed locations, many of them unique spots found well off the beaten path. Players will need to thoroughly explore for evidence and clues, interrogating the people you meet along the way if you're to understand how and why the deceased met his fate under such mysterious circumstances.

Helping get the new year off of the right foot, Amos Green's Final Repose is due to be launched exclusively for download on the developer's website on January 1, 2022.
