News of any promising new game may seem heavenly, but the action will take place a little closer to home in the upcoming horror adventure Arkhangel: The House of the Seven Stars.
Arkhangel tells the story of Michael, Lily, and Gabrielle, who move to the isolated northern town of Haven in an attempt to rebuild their lives following a family tragedy. As they begin exploring their wintry new home and meeting the local denizens, they "quickly discover that not everything is what it appears to be." Making matters worse, Michael find himself struggling with "dreams of dark waters and an unknown ancient evil resting beneath the cold waves. Are these simply dreams or are they a premonition of things to come?"
This third-person, 3D point-and-click adventure allows players to control two different characters throughout the game. Between them you'll encounter a large cast of locals to interact with, and a "deep narrative with abundant lore to discover and absorb" as you "explore, research, uncover mysteries, [and] solve puzzles" along the way.
Created by American brothers Josh and Zachary Quarles (aka Winter Night Games), the self-financed Arkhangel: The House of the Seven Stars has no firm release date just yet, but is currently on track for launch late in 2016.
