Wax Lyrical's upcoming debut adventure is not only getting a new publisher for Europe, it's adding a little nobility as well, as the newly-retitled Baron Wittard: Nemesis of Ragnarok will be released early next year by Iceberg Interactive.
The first-person horror sends players into a "Utopia" that is anything but. This city inside a dome, built by the eccentric architect Baron Wittard, was designed with "1000 apartments, a shopping mall, and hundreds of offices and leisure facilities" and was due for its grand unveiling two years ago. A series of unexplained events prevented it from ever opening, however, and though it supposedly sits empty and silent, people have begun disappearing and electromagnetic disturbances are originating from inside. Now it's up to you, with only camera and flashlight in hand, to explore this decaying environment and expose its terrible secret, though local legends speak of "something malevolent" lurking within, "waiting and growing in power".
Originally announced under the Odyssia brand of Lace Mamba Global, Iceberg is now assuming all publishing rights for Baron Wittard in Europe and various other territories, with a target release date in February 2011.
