Hector: Badge of Carnage unleashed on iTunes
Calling all adventure gamers with an iPhone or iPod Touch... we have reports of a terrorist disturbance at the App Store today, as the first episode of Straandlooper's comic crime spoof Hector: Badge of Carnage has just been launched on an unsuspecting public.
In We Negotiate with Terrorists, a hostage crisis breaks out in the city of Clappers Wreake, and only the "fat arse of the law", Detective Inspector Hector, can save the day. Or not, as "Hector has a choice to make: carry out the terrorist’s curiously altruistic demands, or watch as his fellow officers are picked off one by one. Hector’s still on the fence."
Despite its cartoon appearance, the three-part series is definitely not for kids, but does promise plenty of laughs and lunacy for adults. The first episode alone lets players "do all the things you’ve dreamed about: hit a tramp with a crowbar, steal a young man’s trousers, kick a heroin addict into a cardboard box, enter a porn shop without embarrassment, carry a designer handbag... all in the name of justice, and all in spectacular ground-breaking 2D."
The first episode is available now from iTunes for a whopping sum of $3.99. For more details about the series, be sure to check out the official website.
