Puzzle Bots demo activated one day before full game release

With just a day left to go before the Puzzle Bots are set loose, a playable demo of Erin Robinson's mechanical puzzler has been released to give players a trial sample (batteries not included).

Puzzle Bots puts players in the ... well, whatever robots have on their feet, controlling not one but five different miniature bots. The creations of Dr. Hugo’s Factory for Making Robots love seeking adventure when their inventors aren't looking, but when they uncover a diabolical plot that threatens their very existence, it'll take all of them working together to work their way through "mischievous children, curious animals, and dysfunctional inventors in their quest to find the truth."

The demo takes place at the start of the game, easing players in with handy operating instructions that introduce some of the scientists and the different bot capabilities. The 40 MB sampler can be found at the official website, where you can also order the full game.

Puzzle Bots will be released for download on Friday, May 7th, but for anyone interested in a CD-ROM version, you'll need to act fast. Available only as a "Collector's Edition" and only during the remaining pre-order period, the disc version includes such extras as a bonus art pack and the complete soundtrack.
