Sam & Max launch early on iPad

If you're on the fence about picking up an iPad, there's temptation today from The Devil's Playhouse, as Telltale Games revealed that the new season of Sam & Max will be available on Apple's latest tablet. Better yet, the season's first episode, The Penal Zone, is already available for purchase, slightly ahead of the system's actual launch.

Previously announced for PC, Mac, and the PlayStation 3, the series debut on iPad has been kept under wraps until now. While release on those other platforms is coming on April 15th, early iPad adopters will be the first to guide the Freelance Police through their newest adventure. In The Penal Zone, the canine shamus and hyperkinetic rabbity thing find themselves trapped aboard a spaceship commanded by a gorilla named Skunkape... and then things get really weird.
