Microïds games have been hard to come by in the UK in recent years, but that's about to change in a big way, as Iceberg Interactive has now signed a long term publishing agreement to distribute a large number of Microïds' titles in the coming months.
Headlining the upcoming catalogue is Return to Mysterious Island 2, which to date hasn't received a boxed version release anywhere, available only as a download so far. The sequel takes players back to Jules Verne's famed island, this time playing both as Mina and her monkey pal Jep, as they face a new round of survival challenges, including some that threaten the very welfare of the island.
The rest of the lineup is a veritable who's who of adventure game titles. A "Benoît Sokal Pack" will include Amerzone and the two Syberia games, while the "Dracula Trilogy" will include all three Dracula games released so far, the latest being The Path of the Dragon, released in North America last year but never making it to the UK. Both collections will be available in the fourth quarter of this year. The final adventure announced is Still Life 2, the controversial sequel to the acclaimed 2005 thriller, which will be available some time in the first quarter of 2010.
