Ace Attorney Investigations makes case for the prosecution this winter

Well, it seems even Miles Edgeworth isn't perfect, but he's still aces in Capcom's eyes, as the company announced today that the flamboyant prosecutor will be starring in Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth, coming to PAL territories on Nintendo DS this winter.

Previously unveiled as "Perfect Prosecutor", Ace Attorney Investigations is the first game in the quirky legal series to feature the prosecution. As Edgeworth, the "flashy prosecutor in the wine red suit", players will spend more time at crime scenes to build cases for a series of murders in which Edgeworth himself was indirectly involved. In the first of several episodes, Edgeworth discovers the body of a dead man in his office before being threatened by the presumed killer, while in another he discovers a corpse aboard an airplane and becomes the chief suspect.

Ace Attorney Investigations is also the first game in the series to have players directly control the onscreen character from a third-person perspective. Players are able to move Edgeworth around freely to "investigate various locations, work directly with characters on the scene, find contradictions, and get to the truth by presenting decisive evidence. Players will also make use of the all-new 'Logic' system, in which he chooses two pieces of information out of the various pieces he has collected and 'combines' them to discover new information."

If that's not enough to get you interested, an official trailer for the new game has already been released, which you can find at standard download sites like GamersHell and WorthPlaying. At 22 MB, the trailer shows off a nice array of game scenarios and introduces faces both new and old, along with an all-new catchphrase.
