Nikopol immortalized in lengthy trailer
Those familiar with Enki Bilal's Nikopol graphic novel trilogy will know it's a difficult series to describe, a challenge that's equally true of White Birds' game adaptation, Secrets of the Immortals. Now, however, gamers can get a first-hand look at the bizarre, futuristic sci-fi adventure for themselves in a new trailer released today by Got Game.
The lengthy video shows over two minutes of in-game footage, showing off the unique vision of Paris, circa 2023, and introducing the playable character, a struggling artist named Alcide Nikopol. Unlike White Birds' other titles, Nikopol plays out in first-person perspective, and players must navigate such environments as "a humble artist's apartment to the Grand Palace corridors, through the labyrinthine metro passages and fortified military towers" in the search for Nikopol's missing father, an astronaut and now a "possible pawn in a looming political battle between a power-hungry dictator and the Immortals."
The new trailer can be streamed directly from the game's official website.
