Daedalic Entertainment has been awfully busy lately, with A New Beginning and The Whispered World already in development. Now the German studio has come up with an idea so crazy it... just... might... work. And we should find out for ourselves this spring, as Daedalic has announced production on a new point-and-click adventure, Edna and Harvey: The Breakout.
A traditional adventure promising "twisted" humour and completely done in cartoon-styled, hand-drawn 2D, Edna and Harvey takes place in an insane asylum, where Edna wakes up in a padded cell with no memory of her past. The only thing she knows for sure is that she's been wrongfully imprisoned, and players will need to help her escape. Along with her talking toy bunny Harvey, Edna will "undertake a daring breakout attempt, meeting up with numerous oddball inmates, like the Man in the Bee's Costume or Siamese twins Hoti and Moti. But Dr. Marcel, the sinister head of the institute, will do everything in his power to stop Edna."
Edna and Harvey: The Breakout is currently targeting a release this May in German speaking territories, with additional territories to follow.
