It's taken a while to find its way across the Atlantic, and the wait for arrival will be a little longer yet, but Jack Keane and company are finally coming to North America. Along the way, the crew will pick up an extended title, as Strategy First announced today that it will be publishing Jack Keane and the Dokktor's Island this April.
The latest title from Deck13 is a classic point-and-click adventure decribed as "Monkey Island meets Indiana Jones". Players are cast mainly in the titular role, the captain of a small ship in Colonial-era Britain. When Jack accepts a job escorting a secret agent to a remote and mysterious island, little does he know that he's about to get caught up in a much more sinister plot, pitted against a mad scientist and his army of trained monkeys and man-eating plants. With the help of the lovely adversary-turned-ally Amanda, a second playable character, Jack will not only need to stop the maniacal Doctor T. from taking over the British Empire, he'll also need to discover the nature of his own relationship to the scientist.
