Lost Sword of Toledo soon to be unsheathed

Not much has been heard about the AGON series of games since the 2006 release of AGON: Mysterious Codex, the compilation of the first three episodes in the series. There were public fears expressed that the series had been abandoned, but these can now be laid to rest as Private Moon Studios has announced that AGON: Lost Sword of Toledo is now complete and will soon be available for purchase.

Originally planned as a series of 14 downloadable episodes, the developers have switched gears and will release Lost Sword of Toledo as a boxed game with a reported 15-20 hours of gameplay.

The AGON series focuses on Dr. Samuel Hunt, who travels the world in search of lost board games and pieces of the Codex manuscript. In the newest game, Hunt travels to the Spanish city of Toledo, where he learns of a wrongly imprisoned man, old grievances and goes in search of the lost sword of Toledo.

To help tide gamers over a little while longer, the Hungarian developer has released a 350 MB demo, which takes place at the beginning of the game as Dr. Hunt learns about a mysterious music box made by the now-deceased man he had come to meet. Along with the demo, a trailer is also available for download . Both the demo and trailer can currently be accessed only through the links provided, as they are not yet available through the official website.

While publishers have been confirmed for the UK and Russia, negotiations are still underway for North American distributors.
