Harvey Birdman soars onto Wii

Nintendo fans have been spoiled by Capcom of late. From the popular Phoenix Wright series on DS to the upcoming Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure, the first original adventure for Wii, Capcom has been busy establishing Nintendo's systems as viable adventure platforms. So there must have been some consternation when Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law was originally announced exclusively for Sony's PSP and PlayStation 2. Today, however, comes news that the quirky courtroom adventure will indeed be available for Wii, as well.

Based on the television cartoon character, Harvey Birdman is even worse at being a lawyer than he is a superhero, and that's saying something. With the offbeat humour and other familiar characters carried over from the show to the game, Capcom has described Attorney at Law more as an interactive story than a challenge-based game to be conquered, but players will still need to explore crime scenes, gather evidence, question suspects, and grill witnesses on the stand. In each of the game's five cases, "Harvey must bring the whole story together to defend his client in a court where anything can happen... including a confrontation with the prosecution who brandishes a Shrink Ray Gun."

The Wii version of Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law will be $10 more than both Sony versions of the game, with a suggested retail price of $39.99. The game will be available for all three platforms on November 13th.
