Culpa Innata lands strategic publisher signing

It's been a long time in coming, but there's good news at last for Culpa Innata, as Strategy First announced today that it will be publishing the game in North America this fall.

The ambitious debut adventure by Turkish developers Momentum AS is a 3D mystery set in the seemingly utopian World Union city of Adrianopolis, circa 2047. In a society where self-advancement has become the highest ideal and only the smartest, richest, and genetically purest individuals succeed, it is a time of unprecedented peace and prosperity. But when a citizen is murdered in the neighbouring Rogue State of Russia, young Peace Officer Phoenix Wallis is called in to lead a case that will test not only her investigative abilities, but ultimately challenge the very worldviews she holds dear.

A classic third-person, point-and-click adventure, Culpa Innata uses its 3D environments to provide dynamic camera motion and seamless in-game cinematics. With over 50 characters to interact with throughout 40 unique locations, players will have plenty to explore, and the branching dialogues and optional activities provide even more interactive possibilities than most modern adventures. For more information about the game, check out our hands-on preview and head over to the game's extensive website, which includes a streaming trailer.

While Strategy First has been true to its name over the years, with previous titles including the likes of the Disciples, Galactic Civilizations, and Space Empires series, the signing of Culpa Innata is the second time the Canadian publisher has shown interest in the adventure genre of late, having distributed the first episode of Penumbra: Overture earlier this year.

The North American release of Culpa Innata is currently scheduled for release in early October.
