Mr. Smoozles Goes Nutso, now on the loose

A new arcade adventure called Mr. Smoozles Goes Nutso is now available for download and purchase.

Based on the online comic strip "Mr. Smoozles" by Steve Ince, the new game is the debut title from Ince's independent UK development company, Juniper Games. Best known for his work with Revolution Software on the acclaimed Broken Sword adventures, Ince set aside his work on Juniper Crescent - The Sapphire Claw to almost singlehandedly create Mr. Smoozles Goes Nutso, a game described as "an addictive mix of gameplay and humour".

Although not a conventional adventure by any means, Mr. Smoozles does contain a significant adventure component that should appeal to genre fans with any interest in some occasional arcade mayhem. In Mr. Smoozles, "the Goragons have invaded the Earth, zapped Mr. Smoozles with their mind ray and are trying to distort the whole fabric of reality." Players assume the role of Ed as he "strives to avoid the attacking Mr. Smoozles, dodges many other dangers, solves numerous puzzles", while interacting with fifty characters over sixty different locations throughout the game.

Mr. Smoozles Goes Nutso is available for download through the 720 Games website. The 15 MB download includes the complete game with a free demo, requiring purchase and registration to unlock the rest. The full game retails for $19.99 USD.
